leanor had just finished up a set. She put her bass down in the usual spot for the roadie to pick up. She didn’t usually trust roadies that much. The last one they had had chipped her bass, she had to get it fixed. Eleanor loved her bass. It was royal blue with a white pick board. It was gorgeous. She loved it, not to mention it had cost her an arm and a leg. So when people touched it she usually got pretty defensive, let alone move it. No one else was allowed to play it either. It was like her baby, and if anything happened to it she completely freaked out. She looked around the back stage area for anyone she recognized. She actually spotted David, but thought it would be a better idea to avoid him. He hadn’t seen her yet, so she grabbed her bag and quickly made her way to the back door. She stepped outside into the cool fresh air. Eleanor took her phone from her bag and checked for any text messages. She thought for a moment before deciding to text Lucas. “ Hey, are you busy today? Wanna hang out in about a half an hour?” she pressed send and returned her phone to her bag. She headed back to the Junesong Provision bus. She always showered and changed her clothes before hanging out with Lucas. He hated the smell of cigarette smoke, and she respected it. Even without a response from him, she needed to shower anyways. She always took a shower after a set. It was a bit of a habit now. She finished up in the shower, dried off, and put on some clean clothes. She brushed her hair and tied it back. Eleanor checked her phone again. She had a text message from Lucas, it just said “ Sure (:” Eleanor smiled, responding with “ okay, I’ll meet you outside the WDWM bus in five minutes”. She brushed her teeth, since she had smoked earlier in the day. She grabbed her bag and headed out the door. Eleanor locked it behind her and headed across the parking lot. Eleanor put on her headphones and turned on her ipod. She put her hands in her pockets as she walked. She hadn’t seen Lucas in a couple of days. She wondered what he had been up to. She kicked a rock as she walked along. Unfortunately for her, their buses were on completely opposite sides of the venue. There were two parking lots, half the buses were park in one, and half the buses were in the other. It was sort of annoying, but she’d get over it. Hopefully their busses would be closer together in the next place they went. Eleanor didn’t actually know where they were going next. She didn’t even know who she would ask if she wanted to know. Eleanor laughed quietly to herself. The amount of things she didn’t know about this tour were startling. She’d figure it all out when she got back to the bus later. But for now she was already at the WDWM bus. She checked the time on her phone as she waited for Lucas. She was excited to see her friend. Being on stage really freaked her out sometimes. She actually did quite a bit of the talking up there, and being the quiet person she was it kind of took a toll on her. Hanging out with someone she trusted really helped with that. ucas’ band had went on early today, which actually worked out pretty well, since every one apparently had things to do. After the performance though, they did have a Meet and Greet to attend. Lucas wasn’t known to go to all of them, mostly because fans scared the crap out of him, but he tried his best. Sometimes he had to leave early though; people excited to see him, just got him overwhelmed and triggered a slight panic attack. He couldn’t help it, but it did help that Dylan and Adrian were around; they calmed him down and reassured him that it was all going to be okay. People must have thought he was so weird, he hated being so odd sometimes, but that was Lucas for you. He never knew what to say or do when fans came around; he always froze up and usually had to have Adrian, Dylan, or Parker save him. Today’s meet and greet went pretty well though, Lucas only freaked out slightly, but he slowly got his composure when Adrian joined in on the conversation a fan was trying to have with Lucas. Lucas always felt more comfortable around one of his friends, so he wasn’t as quiet as he was if you got him alone.
After the meet and greet the band member parted ways, each either going to see some friends or another band play. Lucas headed back to the bus with Dylan, the two played video games for a bit, but Dylan eventually left to hang with Delilah. Lucas found himself alone on the bus, which truthfully, scared him sometimes. He hated the little creepy noises sometimes; he knew sometimes David or Duncan shook the bus just to scare him when they knew he was alone in there. It wasn’t late out; it was actually late afternoon, so it wasn’t as creepy as it was when it was dark out. He got comfortable on one side of the couch, fully clothed, dressed in blue jeans, a white t-shirt with the WHEN SKELETONS LIVE logo on it (a free shirt Dylan snagged for him ever since he ran into that Dresden chick), his shoes were nearby and his hoodie was right beside him in a ball. The TV was on, nothing interesting was on, so Lucas left it on Animal Planet. He usually just played video games on days like these, but he rather play with one of his gaming buddies. Plus, he loved learning things from this show, especially about penguins. Lucas had a weird fascination with penguins, he had always wanted one when he was a kid, but his mom never bought him one due to their small freezer space.
Today’s animal wasn’t penguins though, it was panda bears. Panda’s were cute. Lucas had a panda hat, that had ears popping out, a gift from a fan that he absolutely loved. He looked at the TV interested; he loved learning weird stuff about his favorite things, in this case, animals. ’Pandas can eat more than 84 pounds or 38 kilograms of bamboo a day, Lucas’ eyes widened, ”Wow”, he said as he felt his cell vibrate in his pocket. He had almost forgotten it was in there, he usually put it on his bunk or on the nearby table. Not a lot of people called or texted him so he didn’t really pay much attention to it. He looked at his cell; it was a text message from Eleanor, which brought a light smile to his face. He replied instantly, letting her know that he wasn’t busy at all, he always had time for Eleanor, she was one of his best friends. He was already dressed and ready to go, so all he had do for the next thirty minutes was wait patiently and learn about panda bears more. After about ten minutes, she had replied informing him to meet her outside of his bus, well that was easy, he was already inside. He slipped his cell back into his pocket and reached over to grab his shoes, slowly putting them on while keeping his eyes on the TV, he didn’t want to miss anything good. He hadn’t seen Eleanor in a while, which was weird, considering they kind of worked together just in different sections. It didn’t help that their tour buses were opposite sides either, that just made hanging out a little harder. His shoes were on eventually, next was his hoodie, he slipped it on swiftly, zipping it up halfway. Someone had come into the bus, which frightened Lucas a bit, he thought it was Eleanor but no, it was Jasey. His eyes widened and he gulped, he was sort of scared of the girl, she had recently switched bands, from Radio Bye Bye to We Dance With Monsters. Lucas didn’t trust her, especially because she came from their bus, and those guys were scary. He didn’t say anything, he just watched her make her way from the entrance to the bunks. They never spoke, mostly because Lucas did his best to avoid her. It didn’t help that the two were both quiet individuals, Dylan had told him she was a good person and he had nothing to worry about, but Lucas was really scared of the people in Radio Bye Bye so not even Dylan’s words could convince him of Jasey’s purity. Lucas saw her coming back towards him and panicked, he switched off the TV and ran off the bus, hopping onto the cement and seeing Eleanor already waiting for him. Sure, it might have seemed a little rude what he just did to Jasey, but he panicked. He closed the door behind him and looked at Eleanor, throwing a smile on his face, ”Elly!”, he was glad to see a familiar face, someone he didn’t have to run from. She was listening to her ipod, but she had seen him, he immediately hugged her, wrapping his arms around her. Lucas always needed a hug and Elly gave some of the best ones. He released her and slowly moved one side of her headphones down, ”You better be listening to We Dance With Monsters, I hear their great”, he smiled blushing a little at his own self-compliment. He wasn’t cocky at all, he was just playfully joking. ”Where we going ? We can’t hang in my bus… some… new girl is in there”, he said uneasily, then shrugged hoping Elly had an idea of what she wanted to do. [/blockquote][/blockquote] STATUS done. leanor saw a girl walk into the bus. She didn’t recognize her at all, and Eleanor actually thought she might ask her if she was lost. She knew everyone in WDWM, and she had never seen this girl before. It kind of worried her. She shrugged it off when Lucas rushed out of the bus. She figured if he didn’t know who the girl was he’d say something—or at least tell her so that she could say something. A smile spread across Eleanor’s face when Lucas hugged her. He always gave the best hugs. Probably because he was quite a bit larger than her—she was tiny—and probably because he squeezed people really tight when he hugged them. At least that’s how he hugged her. He was like a teddy bear. Eleanor wasn’t really a hug type person. She didn’t really enjoy that much physical contact with someone, but she made an exception for Lucas. She took a small step back, looking up at him. He was a lot taller than her. He removed one of her head phones from her ear, making a comment about WDWM. She smiled, moving the other. “ Yeah, they are great” she said with a nod “ But have you met their drummer? Cause, dang, he’s amazing.” Eleanor was dead serious. Lucas was the sweetest, nicest guy she had ever met. Actually, everyone in WDWM was really nice. She didn’t understand why people didn’t like them. They were all total sweethearts. Unfortunately, Lucas didn’t have much of a backbone, and didn’t really stand up for himself. Eleanor was determined to change that though. She wanted him to feel good about himself; she wanted everyone to see in him what she saw in him. No one on this tour was good enough for them, not even Eleanor. They were way out of everyone’s league—in Eleanor’s eyes—and deserved to be treated like it. Things made more sense when Lucas explained about the girl. ‘ Oh... new girl... gotcha’ Eleanor thought, as the statement clicked in her mind. “ What, you’re not gunna introduce me?” Eleanor asked with a pout. Then she shrugged “ Not sure actually, we could find a blockbuster and rent a movie... Or we could go check out some of the bands that are playing right now?” she suggested. “ To be honest, I just wanted to hang out with you. I feel like I haven’t seen you in ages.” And by ages, she meant a couple of days, but that was a long time to her. She noticed that she hadn’t turned off her ipod yet, and you could slightly here the music still. She turned it off, and put it in her pocket, not bothering to remove her head phones from around her neck. She turned as they started walking back towards the venue. Eleanor still wasn’t quite sure what they were going to do, but she figured that walking in a random direction was more productive then just standing around talking. Eleanor linked arms with Lucas, like she usually did. This was as touchy feely as Eleanor got. She wasn’t, by any means, a cuddler. She even had minor problems with holding hands. It kind of made her feel degraded, like when you’re a little kid and you have to hold your mom’s hand because she doesn’t want you to get lost. It felt like that, only with a guy, so it felt degrading, like he had to hold her hand in case she got lost. Well, she wasn’t going to fucking get lost. She did have a brain after all. She found that linking arms was more of a sign of endearment then holding hands. She knew that many people disagreed with her, because it was “romantic”, but Eleanor wasn’t romantic either. Dim lighting, candles, roses, it all sort of made her skin crawl. She wasn’t always like this, but she couldn’t quite put her finger on when the change happened, or the exact event that triggered it. It was more like a string of events and a gradual change. She looked over at Lucas “ What do you want to do?” she honestly didn’t care. She was up for anything. She was sort of the type of person that liked people to make a decision for her. Not because she was weak minded or anything, but because she honestly just didn’t care sometimes. “ What have you been up to anyways?” She wondered why the two of them hadn’t been seeing much of each other lately. She had the bad feeling that she was the busy one. She had been busy with David for the past couple of days. Luckily for Eleanor that was ending. He was a jerk; she just had to keep telling herself that. After reading the blog the other day, it was pretty easy for her to think of him as a jerk. Besides, now she could spend more time with Lucas, or Vanna, or Logan. It wasn’t entirely a bad thing to just forget about David, it gave her more time with the people she had been neglecting [/blockquote] [/blockquote] dear... lucas james young this post has... eight hundred and fifty one words wearing... thislistening to... Damnit By BLINK 182!commentsBahaha.

ucas was never one to invite people to places, he was always shy of asking his friends to hang out. He was usually the one that got asked places and depending who it was; he’d usually just tag along. He was always scared of rejection, or of the fact that what he wanted to do was something lame or something? Not sure, but he always found an excuse not to invite someone somewhere. Most people who befriended him though, just knew that to get him somewhere, you just had to grab him and lead him there. He wasn’t good at denying an invitation, even if he really didn’t want to go. He was shy and quiet, and hated trying new things as far as hanging out went. He refused most of the time, but all you had to do was push him a bit and he’d tag along. He was glad that Eleanor had asked him to hang out though; he missed her a lot over the past few days.
He smiled childishly at her comment on the drummer from We Dance With Monsters, a light shade of pink taking over his cheeks. ”He’s alright”, he chuckled playing along. He wasn’t usually this talkative, goofy, or giggly with people, but his closest friends saw this side of him, and that’s all that matter in the end right? It usually took him ages to get close to someone, mostly because he was a hard shell to crack. But Eleanor had no trouble, they had met at the beginning of tour, she seemed nice enough to converse with, and it just went on from there. Lucas was like a child overall, all you had to do was be nice to him and show him that he was safe, and he’d be a good boy. Eleanor was one of the people Lucas tended to hide behind; she knew how he was and understood his odd ways. He knew she had plans to help him be more outgoing or to grow a back bone, but he didn’t think she’d succeed. He looked at himself like a lost cause, but then again, he was a very self-conscious individual so he put himself down all the time. Lucas lightly shook his head, ”She’s from Radio Bye Bye, she switched bands recently… I don’t trust her…”, he said in a low voice in case a window was cracked that he didn’t know about and she could hear him. He didn’t like talking about people behind their back, mostly because it was rude and he hated confrontation (if they ever were to find out). ”That band equals…”, he held his thumbs up then flipped both hands over, making a double thumbs down and sticking his tongue out, putting his feelings into gestures. He really was afraid of everyone in that band, except Josey though, but she was just the merch girl, so she wasn’t technically IN the band. Plus, everyone liked Josey, there wasn’t really anything to not like about her. He dropped his arms and hands down, ”Do you want to meet her? I haven’t really spoken to her though… “, he admitted looking down at the ground, ashamed at his own actions. Even when she was introduced to the band as the new roadie, Lucas looked away and didn’t say hello. Once he heard her previous job, he just closed off after that. He smiled lightly, ”I know same here, you’ve been too busy for me”, he teased. He shrugged a bit, ”We can do both? We can check out bands then go rent a movie?”, he suggested happily. He too, didn’t mind what they did, as long as he was hanging with Eleanor. He saw her beginning to walk and walking along side her, he smiled when she linked arms with him lightly blushing. He seriously blushed for everything, right now? He was walking with a beautiful girl and they were linked together, he knew what people were thinking… Why is she with him? Does she feel sorry for him? She’s probably doing her good deed for the day and hanging out with a retard. Yes, this is the types of things Lucas thought about when he was out and about. He knew he wasn’t much to look at or normal for that matter, so he felt extra special when people actually wanted to hang with him in public. He was lucky to have friends like Eleanor in his life; it made this tour more surviving. Lucas shrugged a bit as he looked forward at what was ahead of them, they were still on the road to the venue. ”Umm… nothing really… just practicing a lot, getting used to having a new person living with us, got screamed at by a stage manager the other day, I’ve been getting some cute gifts from fans lately, Casey tried to sneak me a shot the other day, and I saw my mom the other day after a while”, he said all in one breath, he took a breath finally and smiled. He had seen his mom because the tour was in New York right now, Lucas’ hometown was indeed New York. When he found out the tour would stop here, he was ecstatic, he was able to see both his mom and his puppy, Chewy. Eleanor had not met his mother yet, but she did know a lot about her. She was Lucas’ everything, he was pursuing music both because it was his dream and because he wanted to be able to take care of his mother. She had done a lot for him and he wanted to return the favor as best as he could. ”You? Your life is probably more exciting than boring old me…”, he said honestly, looking over at her occasionally. [/blockquote][/blockquote] STATUS done. TAG Eleanor! Eleanor loved spending time with Lucas, despite his ridiculous low self esteem. It was ridiculous because he was amazing. There was no reason for it to be so low. She always had a good time when she was with Lucas, and she always felt safe. Even though she was pretty sure if something happened he wouldn’t do anything. It was more of a comfort thing really. Eleanor laughed at his hand movements, Lucas was adorable. “Really? What don’t you like about them?” she had no idea about all the shit David and Duncan pulled. Lucas hadn’t really talked about it before now. Of course she knew about the band’s reputation, and she was sort of glad that she had stopped associating with David, for now. She shook her head at his offer to meet the new girl. If Lucas didn’t trust her then Eleanor didn’t trust her. It was hard to win Eleanor’s trust to begin with, so it’s not like she was going just off of what Lucas was saying. It was strange, because Eleanor felt comfortable around Lucas almost right away. He kind of reminded her of herself. With everyone talking around them, they were the only quiet ones. It seemed safe to start a conversation with him, and now here they were.
Eleanor nodded her head at his suggestion to do both. She approved “Sure.” She smiled as he blushed. He was such a sweet guy. To be honest, if he wasn’t her best friend (and if she wasn’t as fucked up as she was) Eleanor would actually consider asking him out. But he was, and she was. It would never work in a million years. Eleanor listened to Lucas tell her about his week, all in one breath. She smiled again “how is your mom?
” she asked. Eleanor had never met his mom; by she had heard a lot about her. Lucas really cared about her. It was sweet, not many people cared that much about they’re parents. She paused for a second “ ... Wait... Casey tried to slip you a shot?” Casey and Eleanor had actually met a long time ago over the internet, which is strange I know. They just kind of drifted apart though. It was probably because Eleanor had changed a lot. Eleanor used to be loud and obnoxious, believe it or not. But she had changed, and she no longer had anything in common with Casey. It was just a coincidence that the two were on tour together, and to be honest, it was a little awkward. When Lucas asked about what she had been up to lately. She thought about it for a couple of seconds. “ Nothing. Really. Nothing exciting anyways...” she laughed. She was sort of jealous of Lucas; he got to see his mom. They walked towards the venue, and went inside. The band that was playing was Radio Bye Bye. Speak of the devil. Eleanor wasn’t quite sure what to do. She didn’t want to see David, and she knew Lucas didn’t either. So she left it up to Lucas. “ Do you want to go back stage?” she asked, looking up at him. eally? What don’t you like about them?, she asked interested, he hadn’t yet told Eleanor of the ways of David and Duncan. He wasn’t trying to keep her in the dark, he just hadn’t seen her in awhile, plus Dylan always saved him before he panicked. Plus, he knew how protective Eleanor was of him, he didn’t want to bug her with his sorrows and unfortunate events. He shrugged a bit, ”They pick on me… David shoves me around sometimes, you know them?”, he asked innocently, hoping Eleanor didn’t associate with that band at all. That band was overall bad news, everyone on tour were fully aware of it too. He was relieved when she denied his invitation to meet the new roadie; truthfully Lucas wasn’t comfortable with speaking with her. He hadn’t said much to her since she moved in to their tour bus, something about her freaked him out. He knew he had to keep an eye on her, just in case she was like the band she had come from. He couldn’t believe he had updated her in one breath, he completely trust Eleanor, unlike other people on tour. No one ever saw him as cheerful as he was right now; there were a selective few who were granted with permission to see him like this. He took awhile to get comfortable with new people too; he was a pretty tough egg to crack. ”My mom’s good, I got to see Chewy too”, Chewy was his dog, Lucas loved that puppy to death. He was his longest living pet and had been his for a few years now. ”Maybe after the tour, you can come visit me and finally meet her?”, he asked happily, he had told both women about one another and knew they’d get along well. Plus, he had been pushing Eleanor to come visit him after the tour was over so he could properly show her around New York. He nodded at her next concern, ”Mhm… I saw her putting it in my drink though… she’s trying to get me to drink… and party… and stuff,” he said nervously, looking away. Lucas had never drunk or done any drug in his entire life. Everyone around him on this tour (besides Dylan) were partiers who did it all. He knew that day would come eventually, but he promised himself that he’d hold out as much as he could for as long as he could. He nodded slightly at her response; he didn’t believe that there was nothing new in her life. Eleanor was an interesting person and she had way more friends than he did, her life had to be more interesting than his. He wasn’t going to push it though; she didn’t have to tell him anything she didn’t want to. Lucas looked up at the band playing, it was Radio Bye Bye, he really didn’t want to see them. It would only put him in a bad mood. He frowned and looked at Elly, he truly wanted to stay for live music but not for that band in particular. ”Let’s just skip to the movie?”, he asked quietly, he almost had a look of embarrassment in his face. ”They really scare me…”, he said innocently with a look of fear on his face now. ”Um… can we grab food first though?”, he asked with a light smile. She was smaller than him, which he actually liked about her, though he felt smaller than her, his height made up for it. ”I’m craving Chinese good, you want some? Eleanor stiffened as Lucas spoke of David. She had no idea that David quote on quote “shoved him around sometimes”. This infuriated her. How dare he?! But instead of freaking out right there and then she turned, looking up at Lucas with a smile “if he messes with you again just tell me. I. Will. Mess. Him. Up.” She said in a serious tone. Eleanor didn’t really feel comfortable swearing in front of Lucas. Actually she didn’t feel comfortable swearing in front of most people. It wasn’t that she didn’t swear, it just wasn’t really expected of her. She was sort of mild mannered around most people, so when you did catch her swearing she was usually just very angry.
Eleanor smiled awkwardly at Lucas. She hated it when he spoke about the end of tour. She didn’t know what she would do without him. She knew that it would come to an end shortly but it wasn’t the tour she would miss. It was Lucas, and David despite how much she didn’t want to admit it. “Uh, yeah, that sounds great...” She said in reply to his suggestion. She did want to meet Lucas’ mom, and his dog. But living all the way in California while he lived in New York? That would suck. Eleanor was relieved when the subject was changed. She laughed “you know Lucas, one day your gunna try all that... just don’t let anyone push you into it, kay?” she said with a nod, though she secretly hoped that she would be there when it all happened.
It wasn’t that Eleanor hadn’t done anything in the past few days. It was mostly that she was sort of ashamed. She didn’t really want to be seen with David for the time being, let alone tell her best friend that she had been fornicating with him. She knew that Lucas would be kind of... disappointed in her, and she couldn’t handle that. Eleanor sighed, relieved that Lucas didn’t want to go back stage. She smiled at him innocently “You have nothing to be scared of if I’m with you, but I’m glad you decided not to go back stage. I don’t really want to get involved with them anyways...
” Eleanor was an idiot. Not get involved? She was more than involved now. Had she officially royally fucked herself? Well, that was still being determined. For the time being she believed she could undo everything that had been done. After all, she had only been seeing David for a week or so. She hadn’t made things easy for herself though. She had made friends with the enemy; even found that she sort of liked him. Eleanor’s thoughts were broken when Lucas asked if she wanted to get food before getting that movie. She nodded slowly before looking up at him. She smiled as he offered to buy “ You don’t have to do that” she said, lightly pulling him in the opposite direction of the stage, towards town. “ So... since you’re from here, do you know all the good food places?” She asked “ and where the blockbuster is and stuff?” It was kind of cool having someone who knew this place. This way she wouldn’t get lost—because, as much as she hated to admit it, she was good at that—and they wouldn’t have a hard time finding places. She’d have to show him around LA when they went there. God, she couldn’t wait to go back to LA. She missed the sun, and long boarding, and surfing, and the ocean. She could never live anywhere far away from the ocean. ucas nodded obediently at Eleanor’s words, she knew she too would run to his rescue. He knew he’d probably find himself telling her soon, David had a tendency of always popping up to bug him. He wondered if she could actually take David, David was pretty slim and Lucas had never seen him in a physical fight. He’d only seen David pick on the weak, but that didn’t mean he was strong or a fighter, that just meant he was an asshole. Maybe Elly could take David, probably if she was mad enough. More strength always showed when people were angry, but hopefully it wouldn’t have to come to that. Lucas didn’t want Eleanor to kick David’s ass, he wouldn’t wish pain on anyone really, plus he didn’t want to make Eleanor get on David’s bad side. It wasn’t a good feeling being disliked by David, he did mean things.
He frowned a little at the lack of enthusiasm in her voice; he didn’t mean to force her into anything. He just shrugged and hoped she’d lighten up a bit about visiting him and meeting his mom. He didn’t even think of the end of tour really, he felt as if it had just begun. Plus, he wouldn’t want to think about not seeing the new friends he made on tour. He didn’t want to think about a day without seeing Eleanor or Josey, they were very special to him, so to have them far away would be way too hard for him to bear. Just the other day Josey had made Lucas cupcakes spelling out the word ‘sorry’, which were totally stolen and eaten by Casey, but they still made his day. Just the fact that Josey did that for him made him smile, he liked feeling loved and cared for.
Lucas nodded innocently, ”I know… I won’t. But it doesn’t help that I’m surrounded by people who love to party… it helps that I’m always with Dylan though. He’s not into that stuff”, he said looking forward as the two walked towards the town exiting the entire venue area. ”When I do try that stuff… can you not tell my mom? “, he looked at her with pure innocence. That was another reason why he didn’t want to get into that stuff, he thought his mom would be disappointed in him. She was already a little iffy about letting him go on tour with a bunch of bands, she knew how most rock stars lived their touring lives. But because Lucas is such an innocent sweetheart, of course his mother would be worried. She didn’t want him to feel pressured to party or have any bad influences. But Lucas was growing up and he wasn’t completely against it, he knew the day would come eventually. He smiled, happy that she agreed to not get any closer to the band Lucas dreaded most on tour. ”Yes I do, I don’t want them hurting you too…”he said pouting, he knew if Eleanor was in trouble, he would be too much of a coward to help her. He was terrified of David and let the guy walk all over him, he even made Lucas cry a few times. He didn’t want to be put in that situation; he wasn’t ready to stand up to that bully. Plus, he’d feel extremely bad if he couldn’t help his best friend out when she was in trouble. He really didn’t want Elly to ever have to encounter the evilness that was David Adams Greene. Lucas’ spirit nearly lifted up at her question, he nodded happily, ”yes maam! I have a blockbuster card too”, he chuckled. He had to admit, he LOVED being back home. New York was just amazing. It was a big city for such a small boy, but he liked it. He always felt like the world was right in front of him. ”Just follow me”, he smiled walking through the streets of New York City now. ”So what movie do you want to watch? Any specific genre?”, he asked actually excited about this day with Elly. He loved spending time with her, she was so much fun and he was able to be his complete self with her. He started walking towards the area that had a few good food places, there was a Chinese place, a diner, and a little café right before them. [/blockquote][/blockquote] STATUS done. leanor believed that she truly could kick the shit out of David. She was surprisingly tough for her size. However, she had gotten to know him a bit, which meant that meant that physically hurting him was out of the question. She could never hurt someone after getting to know them, which was her downfall most of the time. No matter how much somebody hurt her she just couldn’t bring herself to fight back. You could say she was an easy target. When you get yourself into an abusive situation it’s hard to get yourself out. Eleanor knew this all too well. Her first boyfriend was a pretty nice guy. They dated for a couple of months and then broke up without anything eventful happening. Her second boyfriend was really where it all started. They dated for quite some time, about eight months. He was actually a pretty sweet guy, at first. It was around the six month mark where things started to get bad. He started pushing and shoving her around, and eventually just started full out hitting her. She didn’t know what to do, I mean she was fifteen. No fifteen year old would know what to do. But eventually—after two months—she did tell someone and she was able to break up with him. That was the first and the last abusive relationship she had told anyone about. The next relationship she had was pretty much the same as her first. They dated for about four or five months and again broke up without anything eventful happening. The next parade of relationships she was in were all the same. They were all equally nice guys with equally terrible tempers. Eleanor didn’t tell people about this though. She chose to deal with it by herself. She made the decision to leave the second they lifted a hand to her, or pushed her. Some guys reacted badly, and got more violent. Some didn’t even care, she never saw them again. And some came crawling back, grovelling to try and get her back, promising it’d never happen again. Though, she never took them back. This went on for a good three years until she was eighteen years old. She started dating this guy, he was really nice and things were great for about a year. Then, out of nowhere, he just started getting really violent. Eleanor wasn’t sure what to do; she hadn’t dealt with this in quite some time. Every time it happened he always said he’s stop. She just couldn’t bring herself to fight back, and leaving him proved difficult. She stuck around for another seven months. You may think that’s stupid, but no matter how hard she tried she just couldn’t get away from him. She was finally able to break up with him a couple of months before the tour started. It was really a life saver, being on this tour. It meant he couldn’t follow her or threaten her like he did was she was in LA. It was the one thing she didn’t miss about California. Eleanor wondered if she would ever tell anyone this. No one knew. She wondered if she would ever tell Lucas. Probably not. He was really important to her, and she didn’t want to freak him out about it. It wasn’t a big deal, the past was the past. Other than the fact that she now had major trust issues and was pretty much the most fucked up person she knew. This wasn’t an exaggeration, she was pretty fucked up. At least she thought she was. She refused to trust any male—Lucas was an exception—or even trust herself. She now knew that she had horrible, terrible taste in guys. So when she did start really like someone, she counteracted it by finding a nice guy who she had minor feelings for and started dating them. Sometimes she actually started liking the guy, which was a bonus. There was actually this guy named Caleb that she had been hanging out with, and she was starting to like him a lot. She was thinking about asking him out sometime. She was pretty confident about those sort of things, and if he said no? Well, his loss. There was also the small fact that she now believed that no matter what she said she was just asking for it. Any guy would get the urge to hit her, wouldn’t he? She must have had a knack for pissing guys off. I mean, come on, if so many guys felt the need to treat her like that then she must had deserved it, right? Right. At least that’s what she believed. She just couldn’t keep her mouth shut, could she? She always knew just the right thing to piss any guy off. Eleanor looked up at Lucas as he spoke. She laughed “ of course I won’t tell your mom” she said, smiling. What happens on tour stays on tour, I guess. “ But only if I get to be there” she laughed again “ pinkie swear okay?” She held up her hand, pinkie out. She was joking around of course, but they linked pinkies and “shook hands” for a second before taking their hands back. Eleanor dropped her arm back down to her side. Eleanor’s mom knew pretty much everything. Not because they talked a lot, but because she was just generally open about—almost—everything. If someone wanted to know something then she’d straight up tell them. She actually didn’t get along with her mom all that well. She was more of a daddy’s girl to be honest. She got into a lot of fights with her mom when she lived with her family, which would be why she moved out when she was seventeen (that and to be closer to the beach). But now that they didn’t live together they got along a lot better. Eleanor looked around, subconsciously leaning into Lucas. He made her feel really comfortable. “ You don’t have to worry about them hurting me” she smiled “ I’m tough.” Emotional pain was nothing for Eleanor; she got over things quicker than she should. There weren’t many things that hurt her feelings, and she rarely cried. She had only felt heart break once and even then she bounced back within a week. The only thing she feared was the people she loved hurting her physically, which she figured she was pretty safe from, considering the people she hung out with. “ Yes ma’am! I have a blockbuster card too!” Eleanor smiled at his enthusiasm. “ Just follow me” Eleanor wondered how a shy guy like Lucas survived in a scary city like this. It was huge and rather intimidating for Eleanor. There were so many people. Sure, she lived on the outskirts of a large city as well, but it wasn’t as big as this one, and she spent most of her time on the beach anyways. “ So what movie do you want to watch? Any specific genre?” Eleanor thought about this for a moment. She generally liked documentaries, and horror. But she knew that neither would fly with Lucas. Documentaries bored people, so she usually just watched them alone. And she knew that Lucas wouldn’t wanna watch a horror movie. She also really liked movie based off of comic books. “ I dunno, what about... like... one of the old Batman movies?” she suggested. You could never go wrong with Batman Forever. Of course, she was pretty flexible with everything. If he didn’t want to watch it then that was cool with her. “ I don’t care, whatever you want.” Eleanor looked around. There were a couple of food places around where they were. She wondered if any of them were good. She knew Lucas could tell her. He must have known New York like the back of his hand. She couldn’t wait to show him around LA, maybe hang out at the beach (though she was fairly certain that she wouldn’t take him surfing, as they would be passing through LA during shark season). But for now she’d just have to focus on what she was doing right now, in the present. And right now she was sort of hungry, and sort of craving Chinese. ucas chuckled a little bit and rose a brow, ”Thank you, but why do you want to be there? So you can video tape me and laugh at me?”, he questioned with a light smile on his face. He looked at her pinky then chuckled a little and intertwined his pinky with hers, ”Fiiine, pinky promise!”, he said looking at their fingers happily. He took his finger back after a few seconds and smiled to himself. He sort of wondered what kind of drunk or high person he’d be, everyone had their different reactions right? At least that’s what he could tell from his observations of certain people on tour. For example, Casey was pretty crazy… she hopped around, danced, got naked, and made out with people when she was drunk, though she did a few of those things sober too. Corey was an angry drunk, he had broken Lucas’ night light about two nights before he moved out. Adrian was a better drunk, he was just himself, but much happier and he always had random ideas. Lucas couldn’t explain how many nights he had played Call of Duty with Adrian while he was drunk, those nights were pretty amusing. But seriously, Lucas had no idea what type he’d be. Would he be his polar opposite? Would he be just as bad as Corey was? Should he be frightened? Maybe it was a good idea to have Elly around when he tried his first sip of alcohol, she’d protect him right? Maybe Dylan should be around too, just in case. Lucas wasn’t sure why he was putting so much thought into this, but he really was afraid of that day, what if he made a complete fool of himself? That was the last thing he wanted to do. Also, he didn’t want to get addicted like some people h e knew, if he was going to get into that stuff, he’d rather it be on occasion. Just for the sake of his mom’s view of him, he was a big momma’s boy and her opinion mattered highly to him. He nodded, he knew that Eleanor was tough, but David and Duncan were both vicious. They had a way of breaking down even the strongest of individuals and that’s what frightened Lucas even more. He really didn’t want Eleanor to ever have to encounter those two… but he knew it was just a matter of time. The tour still had a while to go and the musicians had to cross paths at some point, right? ”I know, but you don’t know how mean they are… “, he said almost child-like, looking down at his feet. There were a lot of things Eleanor didn’t know about when it came to David and Duncan’s treatment towards him. Lucas kept a lot to himself and only gave answers when asked directly, he was a really quiet and reserved person, so he didn’t really just burst out with how he felt or things that had happened to him. Plus, he didn’t really like showing or telling how much of a coward he actually was. He knew telling her or anyone about the mistreatment he had been experiencing would just make him look bad as well, it would make him look like a ‘wimp’ or ‘loser’ as David liked to call him. Lucas turned her way and had a wide smile on his face, ”That sounds perfect, I love comic book movies”, he smiled. He was a bit of a comic book nerd himself, his favorites were Batman, Spiderman, and Watchmen, but he liked most comic books. ”I like the one with Jim Carey as the Riddler and Tommy Lee Jones as Two-face the best… just because two-face was one of my favorite villains”, he smiled giving a tone of interest, once someone brought up something having to do with comic books, the kid could talk for hours. ”Can we rent that one?”, he asked hopefully, he loved Two-face, but he had to admit, that in the comic books the cartoon character really did scare the crap out of him. They always showed that villain really creepy eyed and he was so evil and merciless, but Lucas thought that he had made the perfect villain for Batman, besides the joker of course. ”oOo… or the one with penguin and cat woman… wait,no.. penguin scared the bajeebus out of me”, he frowned and looked almost like he was talking to himself as the two walked along side one another, ”But catwoman…”, he had this look in his eye that most guys got when they see Princess Leia in the gold bikini in Star Wars. He shook his head, shaking the image from his mind; this wasn’t the right time for all of that. “So Batman Forever?”, he asked looking in her direction, now he was in the comic book mood thanks to Eleanor. He’d probably dig in his comic book bag when he got to the bus and read a few before bed. Lucas saw the Chinese food place and smiled, ”I want Chinese…, he rubbed his stomach and then ended it with a nice soft patting. Their arms were still linked so he pulled her into the direction of the Chinese food place, he hoped she didn’t mind, if she did, she’d let him know, right? Luckily the Chinese place was on their side of the street so he didn’t have to worry about crossing the busy streets of New York. That’s one thing he didn’t like about this place, the streets were always filled with cars and people. When Lucas was younger he always got lost, but luckily as he grew he had grown to learn the streets of the city. He was still frightened by the massive amounts of people, but he handled himself quite well, at least he thought so. He just didn’t like when he accidently bumped into someone with bad tempers, that’s where all hell broke loose and Lucas always ended up crying or having an anxiety attack. Lucas and Eleanor were at the entrance, he smiled and opened it for her to enter first. Once they both were in, he released the door and let the wind shut it closed. He walked her to food station, where all the food lie steaming from the freshness of it all. ”Want to share a plate? Or are you really hungry and must have your own?”, he asked with a light smile. [/blockquote][/blockquote] STATUS done. TAG Eleanor!
