*You won't be seventeen forever & we can get away with this tonight - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - she typed before hitting send. A smile lit up her features as she approached the park walking down a paved path to a playground area. It was a week day so it was empty of kids making her smile wider it meant she was basically alone. At least til Adam should up and she couldn’t wait for that. Lily sighed and moved herself to where the swings sat placing her bag onto the ground and sitting slowly. She rocked back and forth on it as her fingers loosely held the chained rope. She sat letting the cool breeze hit her skin gently causing her to shiver and wish she had broughten a sweater along. She listened for the sound of her phone to maybe signal that Adam would come and she wouldn’t be left alone. Then again he could have better things to do then hang out with her after all Lily was nothing special in her eyes and probably nothing special in his either. She would just have to wait and see if he showed.[/ul][/blockquote] - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - WORDS ?!567 TAGGED ?!Adam NOTE ?!it will get better OUTFIT CLICKIE! CREDIT Made by Babeyyy_ at CAUTION 2.0 <3

 - - - - - - - - With his laptop propped up on his knees and a pair of studio headphones covering his ears, Adam Dawson was lost in his own little world of computer generated noise. His finger tapped on the F-key, his lips pursed as he listened to the sound playing back in his ear. It was a nice pounding snare drum with just a little too much attack, but that was easily fixed. His eyes narrowed, Adam stopped his movement of the keyboard and his fingers moved down to the mouse pad, allowing him to fiddle around with the digital knobs on the program he was using, that continuous loop of drumming in his ear starting to sound much more appealing. It took a lot of patience to find the perfect sound when using something that could only recreate instrumental sounds, and while Adam usually had a copious amount of patience, today was quite the different story. He hadn’t slept for almost four days straight now, and it was starting to show. His eyes had a distant look in them and empty cans of energy drinks littered the space around his bed. Exhausted as he may have been, he hadn’t caught a wink. It was annoying to say the least. Even his comic had gone on hold, sketches locked up in one of his travel bags because he was dry on inspiration. Pushing any and all frustrating thoughts aside, Adam’s eyes travelled to the left side of his screen, scanning the available digital instruments when a vibrating in his pocket caused him to jump slightly. He had forgotten he had turned his phone on silent. Squirming to adjust his body, Adam pulled the tiny black device from the pocket of his skinny jeans and glanced at the blinking alert which told him he had a new text message from Lily. That brought a smile to his face. No matter how miserable he felt, Lily always made him smile. He opened the message, quickly read it, and was out of bed in a heartbeat, pulling his worn white tank top off and rummaging through his luggage for a clean shirt. Finding a grey Batman one, he slipped it on over his head and flattened out his messy hair with a hat, figuring it was safer that way. He hadn’t showered for three days now.
Adam made quick work of making himself look presentable. He had become actually very talented at hiding when he felt ill or over tired, because he made it a point of always looking well put together in a sort of lazy way. A few neutral bracelets and his favourite peace sign chain – a gift from his sister Katie – followed his clothes and a pair of glasses with thick dark frames came next. Adam did have a slight prescription for seeing far away, but he was just fine without using it. When he wore glasses, it was usually just a style thing. Slipping into a pair of black converse, pretty much the only shoes he owned, Adam saved his work and closed his laptop before grabbing the guitar case at the end of his bed and gliding towards the exit of the tour bus. He wasn’t entirely sure why the guitar was necessary, though he hated walking places empty-handed. It made him feel awkward. At least now he would have something to occupy his hands instead of them hanging uselessly by his side. It was one of those manic little habits that everyone had, but always hid.
A smile on his face, surprisingly genuine, Adam began his walk to the park, not sure if New York would recognize him or not. Apparently some of New York did because as he walked a few groups of girls stopped him to ask for pictures, which he happily obliged to. Adam loved meeting fans; it made him feel accomplished, like he had actually made a difference, which was an awesome feeling. Only when Adam turned the corner and found the park closest to where the buses were parked did he realize he had forgotten to text Lily back in his rush. He certainly hoped he was in the right spot. Lips pursed once more, his paused in his forward movement and let his eyes wander over the area; searching for the familiar blonde girl he called one of his best friends. He almost instantly spotted her and, smiling widely, wandered over to where she was sitting on the swings, using his free hand to wave as he approached.
“Hey sunshine,” he greeted her. Adam leaned his guitar case on one of the poles that supported the swings and took the empty swing next to Lily. “What’s going on?”. He turned his head to face her, a winning smile still in place on his lips.

Her blue eyes met his gaze and she smiled running her fingers through her soft hair. ’’Oh you know same old same old I’ve just been sitting here waiting for my so called best friend to show up.’’ she replied teasing him gently and nudging his side with her foot gently. His smile lit up his face causing her heart to skip and she chewed her bottom lip flipping her hair over her shoulder and looking down at her feet. Her eyes shifted from her feet to his guitar smiling again as she stood slowly reaching over to his guitar and taking it back to the swing with her. She sat slowly adjusting along her body and strumming a few cords. ’’Whats been going on with you? Are you going to play for me?’’. Lily smiled strumming the cords absently as she looked back at Adam patiently waiting for his answer feeling an over whelming bubbling feeling of happiness inside her that he came. l a t e l y i m n o t d r e a m i n g s o w h a t s t h e p o i n t i n s l e e p i n g ? - - - - - - - - A gentle creaking noise issues from the hinges of the swing set as Adam set himself down next to Lily. He wasn’t particularly heavy, so he supposed that the equipment was old and weather worn, not that it changed a thing. He had always loved going to the park with Aunt Amy as a kid and there was so much about every single park he ever visited that reminded him of the woman who had made music such a central aspect of his life. The jungle gym which sat a few feet away from he and Lily had the same colour slide as the park in the neighbourhood he had grown up in – a nauseatingly bright yellow. He began to rock gently back and forth, the balls of his feet bouncing in the sand as Lily greeted him. His smile, if possible, grew wider at the sound of her voice. It was her accent that had first caught his attention; it wasn’t something you heard every day in America.
Smirking at her comment, Adam swallowed back the slight feeling of guilt that had risen in his chest over not having text her back and laughed as she nudged his side with her toe. Having always been an observant person, he took note of the fact that Lily looked cold, though chose not to mention it as there was very little he could do about it. Adam had brought almost everything under the sun with him on a walk, but he had managed to overlook a sweater. It obviously wasn’t the most intelligent thing he’d done, but he had been rather distracted before receiving her text. So, instead of casually mentioning what an idiot he was he placed a fake, playful pout on his lips and cocked his head to the side in a questioning gesture. “Best friend?”
he repeated, “Have you gone and replaced me then?” His eyebrows raised up in mock concern, knitted together and getting lost beneath the hair that fell into his eyes from underneath the hat. As Lily got to her feet, Adam’s expression turned from jokingly questioning to genuinely confused until he realized she was reaching for his guitar. The rocking movement he had been continuously keeping up came to a slow stop as he watched her pull it from its case and settle back onto the swing, strumming a few chords. It was nearly impossible for him to not laugh, though somehow he managed to keep a straight face – mostly. His lips were stretched tight at the corners in a grin at the sight of Lily holding his guitar. The black Fender acoustic, which he had fondly named Emma, looked almost too big for her petite figure. It was pretty cute and a rather large part of him was wishing that he had thought to bring a camera. As soon as he got back to the bus he was making a list of things to bring every time he had an outing. Sweater would be at the very top and camera would be second on that little document. Adam’s shoulders rolled in a small shrug at Lily’s question. “You know,” he mumbled, “Same old stuff, different day.” It was true, he supposed, though he never really felt that way. Adam enjoyed every day that he was living, but exhaustion was starting to catch up with him and all those days he loved so much were blurring into one far too long expanse of time. He needed sleep, but he’d never take a sleeping pill, no matter how desperate he became. Pill popping had been something he feared since he could remember and nothing was going to change that. “And how am I supposed to play if you’re the one holding Emma?” he asked, that quizzical expression back on his face. Lily was one of the only people he allowed to touch Emma. Out of all the instruments he had ever owned, she was his favourite and he was most protective of her. It wasn’t diva behaviour in his eyes. The techs had no reason to touch her, because he never performed with her. She was just for his personal enjoyment, like all those keyboards he had holed up back in his apartment and the synth he brought with him on the road. He shifted slightly in his swing, digging his sneaker clad toes into the sand and leaning his head back to stare at the sun for a long moment, listening to the chords Lily played with ease before looking back at the blonde girl, realizing he had forgotten to return her sentiment. “And what have you been up to?” he asked, genuinely interested in what she would tell him.[/blockquote][/blockquote] - - - - - - - - w o r d s - - seven eight six t a g g e d - - Lily o u t f i t - - here n o t e s - - Woo woo!

*You won't be seventeen forever & we can get away with this tonight - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - she replied teasing only slightly and meaning the last part completely. She smiled at him poking her tongue out playfully as she pushed her creaking swing back and forth gently. ’’Gosh Adam how much do you weigh? Your swing is really creaky’’ she teased laughing gently knowing her swing was creaking just as much if not more. Adam’s guitar Emma as he called her was something that meant the world to him. And Lily knew that she also knew she had to be quite special to be able to touch her. Slowly she traced her fingers over the sleek guitar. A smile playing gently at her lips as she played a few cords to hey there Delilah. She hummed along softly as she looked over at Adam awaiting his answer to the several questions she had asked him. Lily could play basically anything on the guitar it was her career and it was like it was built into her. So it didn’t take much effort to play chords to any song without paying much attention. His answer to her question made her frown slightly. It wasn’t an Adam type of answer he was usually up beat about everything. But she shrugged it off knowing he had been having trouble sleeping lately. She nodded gently continuing to stroke the strings of his guitar. Laughter bubbled from her lips as she rolled her eyes. Her fingers stopped moving as she stood carefully holding Emma as she moved to where Adam sat. Gently she placed the guitar that was bigger then her into his arms. She took his hands holding them gently and placing them over the chords before giggling and sitting on the grass in front of him. ’’Well now you can play for me’’ she replied with a smile as she layed back on the grass and stared up at the sky. ’’I haven’t really been up to anything, a few shows, shopping with Angelica, and a party with Tuesday and now a day with you’’ she replied smiling up at him as her fingers played with the grass around her. ’’I missed you I hope you know that’’ she told him smiling up to him and running her fingers through her hair.[/blockquote][/ul] - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - WORDS ?!520 TAGGED ?!Adam NOTE ?! sorry its short I lost my muse half way through lol OUTFIT CLICKIE! CREDIT Made by Babeyyy_ at CAUTION 2.0 <3

 - - - - - - - - Perhaps it was beyond all comprehension, but Adam found part of his mind lost in memories of when he had first met Lily. First impressions had always been something he was good at. Adam just had that kind of personality people liked to be around. He was laid back and warm and always knew just the right word to say to cheer anyone up. Yes, he was friendly to everyone, but there were always those certain people who caught your eye and captured your heart in the first few moments that you knew them; even if you didn’t realize this until much later. For Adam, Lily was one of those people. She radiated happiness and glowed with qualities that made her stand out from the crowd. Adam counted himself lucky to be her friend.
His lips were pulled tight at the corners as she tucked some hair behind her ears. Eventually he would have to tell Lily to do that more often. There was no use hiding such a pretty face behind hair. In fact, he probably would have told her right then and there had her response not distracted him, making him laugh. “Well, I am one in a million,”
he grinned, putting on a fake cocky attitude. If there was one thing Adam was not, it was conceited, though he could pretend it just as well as the next person. Hell, if had been wearing a collared shirt, said collar would have definitely been popped in a joking fashion. Listening as Lily played a few chords of a familiar song, Adam smiled. She was a talented guitar player and he loved jamming with her. Since his eyes remained focused on her face, it was impossible for him to miss the frown that played onto her lips at his words and he instantly felt his stomach sink. He hated seeing people frown. Smiles were one of the most beautiful things on Earth, so he quickly placed one on his otherwise content face, flashing his teeth at his best friend in an attempt to let her know that he was happy. And then, everything was made better when she laughed. Lily had that kind of laugh that sounded like bells and music and all sorts of other pretty things, no matter how clichéd it may have been to admit such a thing. Her laugh was probably Adam’s favourite thing about her, though the things he liked were too many to count out. He sat still as she stood and set Emma into his lap, a smirk crossing his features, making him look almost impish. It was almost a funny expression to see on his face, though it did not seem out of place at all. As Lily took his hands, Adam’s eyes cast themselves downwards to watch their interaction. Her hands were so soft, he couldn’t even feel the calloused fingertips of a guitar player that he had. Then again, moisturizer would probably be a wonderful thing, if he used it. Keeping his fingers positioned for the G-major chord, Adam glanced back up at Lily as she took a seat in the grass and nodded as her response left her lips. “Sounds like you’ve been busy,” he laughed gently, strumming once. There was a small bit of heat that rose in his cheeks when she told him she had missed him. Sure, he and Lily often exchanged sentiments like that, but they never ceased to make him feel all warm inside. Adam chewed his bottom lip thoughtfully for a moment, trying to remember the chords he had put together a few nights ago. He hadn’t brought his capo, but the melody would be relatively similar. “I wrote this a little while back,” he muttered, shrugging his shoulders to signify he didn’t think it was a big deal. “Let me know if you like it.” He smiled a big smile at Lily and began to strum.[/blockquote][/blockquote] - - - - - - - - w o r d s - - six five five t a g g e d - - Lily o u t f i t - - here n o t e s - - Woo woo!

*You won't be seventeen forever & we can get away with this tonight she replied gently laughing at his cockiness. Adam wasn’t cocky he was the farthest thing from it. And for her there was only one Adam and he in a sense was her Adam. Sure they weren’t dating and Lily didn’t know if they ever would. And sometimes people asked them if they were together when they were out together. But the answer was always a simple smile and a polite no he/she is my best friend. Then they went on their way laughing at the fact that someone would come to that conclusion about the two of them. Not that it was far fetched. Lily and Adam spent a lot of time together and she herself was guilty of flirting with him often. They were also extremely cuddly and did lots of things couples would be found doing. It was no wonder that people often made those assumptions. Often Lily found herself thinking of Adam as more then a friend. The fact that he made her heart race and that butterflies erupted in her stomach whenever they were together. And that whenever he touched her, her skin burned up. She couldn’t deny the fact that she was in love with her best friend. But how on earth did you explain that to him and get a straight answer? Lily was a simple girl she took rejection well and was still friends with most of her exes. She never usually let anything like relationships change friendships. So why couldn’t it be that easy with Adam. Being with him was already as simple as breathing. Finishing her song and handing emma to Adam was a simple thing to do. Her hands touching his caused her skin to burn in a good way and she smiled as she laid back in the grass and stared up at Adam locking her gaze with his as she shrugged. ’’Nah not really well maybe compared to normal cause all I usually do is eat cookies and watch disney movies’’ she giggled gently as a playful pout came upon her lips. Her hands moved over her stomach. ‘’Adam I’m getting fat I don’t know if you’ll be able to give me piggy back rides anymore’’ she was teasing of course but her pout stayed upon her pale lips. Lily’s eyes scanned his face as a small blush tinted his cheeks. She bit her bottom lip smiling inwardly at the fact that she had done that. Then he started to play a song that he had wrote. It was beautiful and she listened carefully loving the melody. When he finished Lily clapped gently smiling. ’’That was beautiful Adam truly amazing’’ she murmured softly. She smiled and stood moving over to where he was pulling on his hat removing it from his head before pecking his cheek and placing it on her own head with a giggle.[/ul][/blockquote] - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - WORDS ?!686 TAGGED ?!Adam NOTE ?! awwh <3 OUTFIT CLICKIE! CREDIT Made by Babeyyy_ at CAUTION 2.0 <3
