It was one of those late afternoons when Dresden had decided to roll out of her bunk. She ran a hand through her hair as she stood up at her full four foot ten inches. That was without heels though. With heels well, it varied. Sighing to herself she made her way into the back where her bag was. Her bag as in...the trunk with Misfit and Anti-Flag stickers all over it. Her punk rocker of a best friend decided to give her that trunk. "Mommy?" The twenty-two year old turned to see her daughter with brown hair sucking her thumb tugging on her oversized shirt. Smiling, Dresden picked her up and kissed her cheek. "Yeah babe?" She asked as she set the little girl down on the ground. " can we play outside today?" The tiny voice warmed her heart as she nodded. The girl ran off to get dressed.
She must have been playing with Yoshi or the other band or crew members when she was asleep. That was a good thing, she loved them enough and trusted them enough to watch her daughter for her. She pulled out a plaid shirt and jeans, sliding them over her underwear and bra as she slipped on her converses and tied her laces. Running a hand through her tangled hair she sighed as she grabbed the brush from the bunk and ran it through the multi shaded hair. Her head was beginning to pound as she grabbed the advil and poured two little tablets into her hand and took them without water. She was pretty good at taking pills without water. She didn't know if it was because she use to do drugs or because of something else. Probably because she was a expert at not having water by her bedside when she had major hangovers. Which she still had by the way, just not so often since she had motherly duties.
"Mickey?" She called through the bus as she heard tiny footsteps coming towards her. "Yeah?" She smiled again, her daughter was wearing a tiny Ramones t-shirt and shorts with converses. God, so cute. "Ready?" Dresden asked as she shoved sunglasses over her eyes and grabbed her phone. She watched the tiny girl nod and move after her as she walked down the bus's steps shoved the bus door open, making her way out of the parking lot and towards the merch tables. She stopped to sign some shirts and pictures. Usually, Dresden would keep walking and soon the questions would start about her daughter. She wished people just knew that yeah, she had a daughter and yeah, she was on tour with Dresden. God, she didn't care all that much it just annoyed her to no end. "Want food or no?" She asked, ruffling the kid's hair. She shook her head and Dresden shrugged and kept walking towards the merch tables where she finally saw Where Skeletons Live merch table. Oh good, she pulled out two chairs and sat behind the tent with the other merch kids. This was always good.

* - - - SHE SEEMS DRESSED IN ALL THE RINGS of past fatalities so fragile yet so deviousBUT I WON'T LET THIS BUILD UP INSIDE OF ME Liam had woke up much later than was usual for him. On a normal day he was up by 10am but today was different. He felt almost as though a cold was coming on and he was praying it was imagination. The last thing he needed on this tour was the loss of his voice. After forcing himself out of his bunk, he'd wandered around the front area, stretching in an attempt to fully wake up. He made his way to the tiny bathroom and stared at himself for a quick moment. Was it time to shave? No, he could go another few days. Maybe he'd just let it grow out and end up with a full grown beard. It would probably be easier in the long run.
Sighing, he decided the best way to wake up was to get some tea. He remembered seeing a small coffee shop on the way in and figured it would be as good as any. He quietly made his way toward the back of the bus, where he and his band mates stored their stuff, and grabbed the nearest clean looking clothes. He pulled the shirt over his head, sniffing as he did so. It wasn't too bad but after this wear, it would definitely need to be washed. As he made his way out of the bus, he glanced toward his friend Dresden's bunk. She was still out cold, no doubt she was trying to sleep off a hangover or something of that nature.
It was a nice spring day; warm with a cool breeze - perfect. He wasn't sure exactly where he was headed but Liam knew that it had been to the left of where they pulled in. If he got lost, he'd just ask for directions. He passed a few recognizable faces as he headed out. He yelled his daily "hello's" to the people he knew and nodded to those he didn't. He wasn't sure why but he always felt the need to show that he was, in fact, a friendly person. There was no reason for this other than that he knew he had a reputation based on what he called his 'angry episodes', and he didn't want anyone thinking he was some violent crazed freak.
He left the parking lot and turned left onto the sidewalk. As he walked he let his mind wander, he wasn't awake enough to have rational thoughts. The only thing he could concentrate on at the moment was getting himself some tea. It took no time at all for his to reach the place. It turned out to be about a five minute walk, give or take. He ordered himself a large tea with honey and a large black coffee for their merch guy - he owed him for that stupid bet he lost anyway. As he waited, he couldn't help but think how girly that sounded. Tea with honey, how lame. He heard the barista call to him and thanked the young girl, quickly exiting the cafe.
On his walk back, Liam decided he'd drop off the coffee then head back to the bus to see Dresden and Mickey. If she wasn't up already, he planned on waking her up. It was too damn late and way too nice to be sleeping in some stuffy bunk. He quickened his pace as he went, wanting to get on with it. The faster he got there and did it, the faster he could move on from the verbal beating he was about to get. In no time at all, he was back in the parking lot and headed for the merch table. He didn't notice the girl at first, to determined to give their mutual friend his bet-coffee. However, as he turned to leave he saw her - and her daughter. He placed the tea on the table and walked over, hugging Mickey from behind. "Hey there sweetheart," he gave the tiny girl a kiss on the forehead before turning to her mother, "Morning, Ms. Davis. Nice to see you up. I was just on my way to wake you," he laughed and pulled out a chair next to her, sitting himself down and grabbing his tea.

She was seriously, still half asleep. Honestly, some would think she would be use to waking up this early, but not really. It's been party hardy all her life and she had been left with a daughter for about most of it. Sixteen, she shivered noticeably but looked at the little girl and smiled. Sure, it wasn't the best idea her and Kayden made but at least...well, it worked right? Even though, he was dead and she was alone...and he was a jackass. She still had Mickey, who meant the world to her now even though, the band came into a close second, her kid still beat them all and that wasn't a joke. She really did love her. She knew she would freak out if anyone ever took her away from her. She just had that feeling that she would care and why wouldn't she? She was her own well, some of her own flesh and blood. She ran a hand through her hair again, trying to work out some of the tangles that the brush didn't get out as she turned and grabbed a water from the cooler that the merch kids kept behind the table. "Mick catch"" She called as she tossed the little girl a bottle of water, who caught it.
She twisted open the cap for herself and took a sip, noticing Mick was having trouble. She took it from her and unscrewed it for her, handing it back to her. Dresden was hardly paying attention to anyone really, her headache was just bad out in the sun, even though she would have to put up with it. She ran a hand through her hair again and sighed as she shrugged her shoulders. She was going to put up with it right? Right. She hadn't notice Liam come up behind them and hug Mickey till she heard a voice and turned her head to grin up at him and shake her head. "It would of been you or her to wake me up" She told him as she rubbed her temples and took another sip of water.
"Mom has a headache" Honestly, though. For a seven year old. The kid was way smarter then a normal seven year old. She looked up and ruffled Mickey's hair. "Yeah, do we have anything else then that weird aspirin that doesn't work on the bus? She asked as she drained the water bottle. She should probably just stop drinking so much. That would solve most of her problems. But of course was she going to listen to herself? Nope, she normally just continued her drinking routine. Leaving her daughter with various members of her band as she went out and did something she wanted to do without having to worrying about a kid, even though she really did worry about the kid. It wasn't good but it wasn't enough to keep her priorities straight either. Which wasn't good either. But she was going to live with it till she figured out she could just stop drinking and everything. The heartbreak from Kayden still hung over her and her trying to get over it wasn't that easy. Oh well, life will move on hopefully. "Anyways, where have you been?" She asked him, as she was pulled out of her thoughts.

* - - - SHE SEEMS DRESSED IN ALL THE RINGS of past fatalities so fragile yet so deviousBUT I WON'T LET THIS BUILD UP INSIDE OF ME Liam stretched in his seat and took a drink of his tea. He watched Dresden rub her temples as she took another sip of water and instantly knew she had a hangover. If anyone else had looked at her they would have simply assumed she was tired and that she'd been up late, perhaps with the little girl. But Liam knew better. He'd known the woman for quite some time, long enough to pick up on the subtle signs of how she was actually feeling. And he felt bad for her. She was a young mother and an alcoholic. Two things that should never mix but often do. No doubt she had legitimate reasons for her drinking, if that was really possible, but he still wished she would at least cut back a little. He would never come right out and say it though (unless he got angry enough, of course, he cold be very cruel when mad). Just because he didn't drink didn't mean that she couldn't but he wished she'd slow it down, for the sake of her daughter. And despite what a lot of people think, Liam had tried alcohol before. When he was thirteen he got into the wrong crowd and was big into drinking for a good year and a half. It was his way of rebelling and showing his mother that he wasn't really alright with his home life. After a while though, he became sick of the lifestyle and came across straight edge. The last time he had a drink was when he was fifteen and he didn't miss it a bit.
Liam was pulled out of his reminiscing at the sound of voices. He smiled back at Dresden and nodded, he knew it was true. If he hadn't come to wake her up, Mickey no doubt would have. "Mom has a headache." Liam turned his attention to the child and smiled, not bothering to say anything. He knew the little girl wasn't stupid, she most likely had some knowledge as for the reason why her mother had a headache. Instead he took a sip of his tea and nodded his head again as he watched her drain the water bottle. "I'm pretty sure there's some ibuprofen in there, I thought Yoshi left some in the cupboard. But I could be wrong." he stated, trying to remember their techie had actually left it there. Or maybe it was in the bathroom? He couldn't remember, all he knew was that he'd seen the man with some a few days ago.
Looking away, Liam watched as the child played around by herself. He was always amazed by a child's ability to do that. When he was a child he didn't have that great of an imagination and therefore wasn't able to escape the way most could. He'd always felt trapped in the real world and it got to him more than he liked to admit. Even now, he wasn't so good at it. He often wondered if that had something to do with his current inability to control his anger. If he'd been able to play pretend. if he'd been able to escape even for just a little while, would he have turned out the way he had? Would he have gotten into the drinking and what not or would he have been able to just goof off and be a kid?
"I went to get some tea," he replied, still watching Mickey play, "As I'm sure you know from my constant complaining, no one around here knows how to make good tea. Plus, I owed whatshisname a coffee from that stupid bet. Which I still say I should have won." Liam cleared his throat and continued, "I think I'm coming down with something." Glancing at Dresden, he gave her a smile and took another drink of his tea. It had cooled down to the point where he didn't have to take baby sips anymore and he knew it wouldn't last much longer. He'd have in gone within the next ten minutes.

I'M BRUISED AND SCARRED save me from this broken heartALL MY LOVE WILL SLOWLY FADE & F A L L A P A R T• • • • • It was hard. Dresden had no self control, sure she tried not to do too many drugs but tour offered a lot and sometimes she didn't have enough self control to hold herself back from smoking weed or taking some blow. When people offered she told herself she was too nice of a person to reject them. Honestly, she knew it was just a excuse even though the only things she had been doing were smoking weed and drinking. Drinking she took to another level though and she knew it. She knew it wasn't good but once again her self control never took the control. It ended with a horrible headache and unable to compute thoughts and make up coherent sentences sometimes or even get out of bed unless she had a large pair of sunglasses and two tons of painkillers. You would think she would learn by then but honestly, nope. She stared down at her hands through the sunglasses. She knew she was doing it to make herself feel numb. It wasn't a good way to handle her emotions but it was the easiest she could think of, you would think seven years after would have Dresden at ease. But it didn't work. None of it did. The therapy her parents put her through. Yeah, still just traumatized by the whole incident. Maybe it was the death...or maybe it was because he totally stabbed her in the back while he didn't even know about his creepy brother. But, still. She wasn't a fan of it and she never wanted to go through it again. The only good that came from the situation was Mickey.
Still, she wasn't going to wrangle with her runaway emotions on tour. That was another project for another time in her life that didn't include moving place to place constantly. She wouldn't jump off tour because of that though, no way in hell. She refused to take care of her problems. They were being taken care of through her music or that's what she hoped for. She always seek music for a escape from the real world and it seemed to be happening right now for her at least. "Okay, thanks...If I see him I'll interrogate him on where he put it." She spoke in a softer tone, knowing speaking loudly would just hurt her head more.
She carefully watch Mickey entertain herself. This made her smile, knowing her daughter would probably end up taking care of herself more than Dresden did. She wasn't as much of a mess but Dresden was afraid of course, what would happen when she started wondering why her father wasn't here. She didn't want to answer those questions and honestly, she didn't. Mickey knew to stay away from them and Dresden never answered them if she did ask them.
She smiled, glad to have one person in her band that didn't party like a mofo with the alcohol and everything. She knew it wasn't great to rely on Liam but honestly, he was one of her best friends since he was in the band. They've known each other for a while and she liked having someone close too. "I told you, I can only make good fried chicken and coffee..." She pushed up her sunglasses with her finger as she smirked. "You lost. I knew you did fair and square. He won..." She looked down at her hands again as she scrunched her face. "That isn't good. Take some meds...or something. Need me to make you chicken soup?" When there was sick people around...Dresden turned on mommy mode. It was pretty weird to see her freak out and take care of people but hell, she couldn't help it ever.
