NOTES?! ! It was about late afternoon, most of the bands had already gone on; there was probably three more bands to play. Around this time, most of the other band members just hung around the merch tables or watched the others perform. Radio Bye Bye didn’t usually hang out too much; it all depended on what side of the bed they woke up on. Sometimes they were feeling nice and friendly, other times they just wanted to go hang out on the bus. Today David and Duncan were hanging to the side enjoying a nice cigarette each, watching Junesong Provision go on, David had gained an interest in the band ever since he started sleeping with the bands guitarist. The two best friends just leaned back on a random railing as they watched from the side as the band performed, about halfway through their set, Duncan had made his departure, something about hanging out with that Danyelle girl. David wasn’t really paying attention; he threw his cigarette to the floor and stepped on it, turning his attention to his surroundings now.
He made his way back inside the back stage area, other band members were walking around talking, and some were watching the band perform. He took a breath looking for something to do, he had no desire to hit on anyone for once, so he had to surf his other options. He was about to walk closer to the stage as the band performed when he saw a familiar face, it was Journey’s sister, Jasey. She was sitting off to the side reading a book, how she could be reading while a band was playing music, who the hell knew? David hadn’t seen the girl in awhile, you know, ever since she pretty much skipped out on them. He stuck his hands in his pockets swiftly as he made his way in her direction; he stood in front of her so that he could look down on her and smiled. ”Hey Traitor”
, he said with a grin. He ran his hand through his blonde hair and chuckled a bit, ”Miss us yet?”. David looked around then back at her, ”You know.. That’s pretty fucked up what you did, just skipping out on us, no proper goodbye. Your scandalous”, he said nodding, talking as if they were having a normal conversation. Lucas had just woken up from a nap; he sometimes took them after a performance and a shower. He was walking from the bus towards the backdoor of the venue; he wanted to hang out back stage for the rest of the night. Maybe find Eleanor? Or Josey? He had already missed most of Junesong Provision’s set, but he could easily make it up to Eleanor, he had no doubts there. He made his way inside, the back door security guard already recognizing him. Lucas looked around and didn’t see anyone familiar just yet. He walked to the side to go pour himself a cup of water from the giant water jug, bringing the now filled cup to his mouth as he turned on his heel, he noticed Jasey. She was the band’s newest addition, having transferred herself from Radio Bye Bye. In Lucas’ opinion he didn’t like the band, they were mean and they picked on him every chance they got, so he was truly afraid of them as a whole. Dylan had talked the band into hiring Jasey as their new roadie, explaining that she didn’t want to be in Radio Bye Bye much longer. Lucas honestly didn’t trust the girl, he was scared she was just like the rest of them and just trying to maybe find a way into We Dance With Monsters, maybe like a Radio Bye Bye secret spy or something? Lucas thought of farfetched things like that, mostly because the kid was often in his mind. He always found answers to his own questions, no matter how long it took him. She was reading a book, she seemed so innocent and different from her previous band but maybe it was part of her plan. He would never have the guts to speak to her, mostly because he never had the guts to speak to anyone. He walked off to the side so he could get a better look at the band performing, before he could walk any further he saw David make an appearance, which tensed him up. Whenever David was around, Lucas was always targeted and almost always ended up with an anxiety attack or probably crying. Lucas quickly hid behind the closest thing to him, which was a curtain. He saw David make his way to Jasey smiling as always and frowned, he knew she was close to them. Lucas wasn’t too far so he could hear everything that was being said, but he still wasn’t sure what was completely going on, he had decided to stay behind the curtain until the coast was clear though. today had been one of those days for jasey. she hadn't really gotten a lot of sleep the night before and had been woken up early for something stupid. journey had called her about her taking her sleeping medication or something, which was brand new to her. she hadn't really enjoyed taking it since she got it, though, so she never did. before, journey had been able to stuff them down her throat, now she was taking them when she wanted to, which wasn't very often. so as some kind of cruel punishment, he called her every morning at around three to remind her she needed to take them. needless to say, that was right around when she was settling into sleep, though a ringing phone always woke her up from even the deadest of sleep. there had been times in the past where she would have to go pick someone up from some bar or go get other people that her phone was like her key item needed for survival. but, since everyone was so upset with her, she didn't really get calls except from a drunk or high journey. it was nice to know he still loved her, even though she had pretty much ditched them for the other band, but she couldn't handle it anymore. they were mean to people like her, and that actually really upset her. they judged by appearance instead of getting to know them and their problems, which she thought was wrong and a horrible thing to do. but then again, what exactly did she know?
on her walk to the main venue, it had taken a lot out of her not to talk to the flowers. she knew that nobody else could hear them, but it was always so tempting, especially when she was as tired as she was, and with so many flowers blooming. it didn't help with all the flowers and bushes beside the bus and stuff. luckily enough, the sun wasn't out to sing to her. normally, the moon would, but not today, and she was happy. with a small book in her hand, she made her way backstage. the security guard giving her a warm smile. he most likely recognized her from both radio bye bye and we dance with monsters, considering she'd been there a few times before with both bands. she'd been there the night before and had only recently, so she'd been around with the guys to see their shows and other shows. right now was a good time to come though. the music wasn't too loud, just right to read the little picture book. that was all she could handle for today. it had little pop ups and everything, so she was pretty sure she would have swirling images and pictures talking to her and telling a story or something, even though it was just your basic animal book. the little animals would pop up and look at her. of course, she had to be careful of pages with fish, seeing as they were one of her biggest fears. nobody knew that though.
quietly, she found a corner with enough lighting to see, not that that was a lot of light. she ran a hand through her hair, feeling the extensions at the roots. her head pressed against the wall before she opened the book slowly. the first few pages were quiet. she looked at the little pop ups of birds, which looked like they were tweeting to one another, though there was no sounds coming from the pages. after the dogs and cats, things started getting really animated, though. there was a hippopotamus that spoke slowly and deeply, giving her unneeded advice on what to do in the water and with what to eat. she frowned, she wanted a nicer animal, that would sing like they all normally did. she turned the page again, soon becoming entranced in the pictures as the elephants and tigers jumped around like in the lion king, singing and dancing. it was crazy, and she knew she probably looked stupid, but she didn't really care right now. what did it matter what she did in her spare time? so she liked pop up picture books? it wasn't like she was singing with or talking back to the animals on the page. she had learned better than that in middle and high school when people had made fun of her for talking to books and flowers. it wasn't all that hard to avoid it, it wasn't like the pictures got upset with her for ignoring them or any thing. that would be silly. as if dancing animals weren't silly.
the next page though, was an underwater scene and without even really thinking, she slammed the book shut, closing her eyes tightly for just a moment. when she opened her eyes again, she saw legs standing in front of her, jumping as her heart sped up. hazel eyes darted around the room quietly as thoughts ripped through her mind. that is, until she heard his voice. she frowned, she knew the vocals only too well. david. what did he want? silently, jasey pulled her legs up to her chest, biting her lip. she felt the guilt seeping into her bones. he knew what he was doing. "i'm not a t-traitor." she mumbled, closing her eyes tightly for a second, praying that when she opened them he would be gone, but his voice kept going. she groaned mentally. why would she miss them? she didn't miss this. a dull ache was starting to settle in the pit of her stomach and the back of her head. "why would i m-miss you?" her lips stuttered over a simple word, not that she could help it. the social phobia did that to her. her stomach turned with his next words. "you know.. that's pretty fucked up what you did, just skipping out on us, no proper goodbye. you're scandalous". did he ever stop? "s-stop, d-david." she hugged her knees tightly, looking up at him. she didn't want to do this right now. all she wanted was sleep, but she figured she wasn't going to get that now. "p-p-please." it barely came out as a whimper. she couldn't handle this.

NOTES?! ! David was well aware of their bands reputation, they made good music but most of the band members had pretty shitty personalities. David and Duncan probably had the worst attitudes, but if you were on their good side, which only few were, they were pretty good guys. Well not good, but fun enough to actually like. These two were actually new to the band, but because of their musical talent, they hadn’t been replaced just yet. Plus, the other band members seemed to have gotten used to them by now, so it wasn’t a big deal. Plus, the two were nice to fans, so they did their job. It was why Jasey left though, she never could handle herself well around the boys. She was an easy target so of course, David and Duncan were going to aim her way. David did find it a bit traitorish but whatever, he’d live. But that didn’t mean he wouldn’t guilt trip her a bit. She wasn’t going to ditch them and get away with it, no fucking way, not of David had anything to do with it.
David frowned when he noticed the book she was reading, it seemed like something that would amuse a two year old. Wasn’t this girl like what? Nineteen? Twenty? He rolled his eyes, he hated when people didn’t act their age. David knew she was probably dreading this run in with him, probably since the day she switched buses, David had actually been looking forward to it. His plan was to make her feel bad, she was not going to just leave and get away without a confrontation of some sort. He laughed a little as he saw her close her eyes, it amused him at how much she looked like she wished he would just go away. Her stutter only made him want to continue to bug her, ”You left us for another band, that’s a traitor, babe”
, he said eyeing the book again. He grabbed it from her and looked through it recklessly, ”Seriously? What are you? Fucking four?”, he rose a brow confused and threw it to the side of her. He rolled his eyes and looked her over shaking his head lightly, ”And to turn your back on your own brother…? Wow, now that takes balls!”, he exclaimed. He placed a hand on the wall she was leaning on, so that he can have something to properly balance himself on. ”So how is it over there on the gay side?”, he asked laughing a little, ”Are they your new family now? I should warn them, you’ll only just abandon them”, he shrugged simply. Once you had David going he couldn’t really stop, he always took it up a notch. Lucas placed his cup of water down on the closest thing to him and turned his attention back to David and Jay. He gripped the curtain he was hiding behind, one eye popping out. If someone saw him they’d probably question his actions but for now, he was out of sight. He watched the entire scene play out before him, starting to feel bad for assuming the worst of the newcomer in the band. David was doing exactly what he did best, pick on the weak. Lucas wished that he had the guts to stick up for her, but unfortunately he didn’t Every time he tried, he failed and ended up having an anxiety attack. Dylan was out with Dresden or Delilah, so he was definitely not around to save him or Jay for that matter. It was sad that Lucas depended on Dylan to be his savior every time but he couldn’t help it. David’s words hurt even Lucas, why was he being so mean? Was it in his job description to be a dick? No wonder Jay switched bands, it was a good transfer too, We Dance With Monsters probably contained the nicest people on tour. How do you think Lucas survived this place? He was thankful to have met his band, hell, even the rest of the crew were friendly. Sure, Casey overwhelmed him at times but she was overall nice and she meant well. He gulped in his place hoping the verbal abuse would end soon, if he was in her place he’d be hyperventilating already. He closed his eyes hoping to somehow mentally summon Dylan, he knew Dylan would know just what to do. Dylan was always seen as the protector of the group, Lucas was really tempted to text him but knew he was on some kind of date or something, so couldn’t. her heart was pounding, she could hear it in her ears. why was he doing this to her? even he knew about her guilt trips, and it was starting to dawn on her that he was doing it on purpose. he wanted her to feel bad about leaving. why? she was unsure. she rarely ever even spoke to him while he was there, she couldn't mean that much to him. could it be an upset journey? couldn't be.. they weren't exactly close, david and journey. they just sort of partied together, and journey had told her numerous times that he didn't blame her for leaving the band. everything was getting really really popular around them and even she often got swarmed when she was with them, which was never great. he also told her he understood about the unkind acts the two newer people had been displaying to other members of the tour, and he also found it unacceptable. he knew just about everything about jasey, and didn't blame her for wanting to leave. she couldn't handle herself well around them and journey wasn't always going to be there to keep her company, so she had to get out of there. her breath was going crazy and her eyes darted around the room. the guilt was seeping into her whole body, she could've cried right now. she felt like complete shit, but she was sure that was what he was aiming for; that's what he was always aiming for.
jasey looked back up at david, feeling the tears form in her eyes as he started speaking. did he have no idea why she had wanted to switch bands? maybe someone should have recorded him and shown him what he was like to other human beings? she knew she didn't deserve this, but she was still getting the shitty end of it all. she couldn't escape david, honestly. he was every where. whether it was someone telling her about him or if it was him being there in person. this was making her stomach stumble and twist around and around. it almost felt like her food was crawling up her throat. god, she wanted to just disappear. "you left us for another band, that's a traitor, babe." she cringed at the words. she wasn't a traitor. she was never on their team. just because she left the band didn't mean anything. "d-d-did y-you e-ever s-s-stop t-to th-think about wh-why i l-left th-the band?" her tongue and lips deceived her speech as she stumbled over even the easy words. that was part of her poor speech development and social phobia. she hated confrontation and anything of the sort. jasey opened her mouth to protest as he picked her book up but bit down on her lip hard; hard enough to feel the irony, metallic taste in her mouth. she had obviously decided against speaking out to him twice in less than five minutes. as far as she was concerned, he wanted her to react to him, and she was giving him the satisfaction so far.
she flinched as he threw the book beside her, expecting it to hit her in the stomach or something, but surprisingly enough, it landed beside her. she could feel the tears flood over and slide down her cheeks at his next words. "and to turn your back on your own brother…? wow, now that takes balls!" she couldn't even reply, her voice wasn't working. she didn't want to reply. she hadn't turned her back on her brother. she talked to him every day and they were together as often as they could be. journey was different than him and duncan were. sure, he had his mean side, but he wasn't constantly trying to hurt people. now, you'd think that her brother would've been the most upset about her leaving the band, but obviously that wasn't the case, considering david was the one talking about it. he was hovering over her and she made herself as small as she could, finally managing to sputter out a few words through her tears. "h-h-he d-doesn't c-c-care." her voice was more of a whimper than an actual talking voice. she was pleading with him without actually pleading. he didn't stop, just kept talking. god, she wished he would stop. she wanted to disappear off the face of the earth. the tears were becoming heavier just with him being so close to her. "so how is it over there on the gay side?" the laugh that followed sickened her. "are they your new family now? i should warn them, you'll only just abandon them" she wanted to throw up, her stomach hurt that bad. "th-th-they're b-better th-than you. a-a-and i-i'm.." her sentence wasn't even finished. all she could do was scowl at him, but her fact turned soft and tears continued to flow down her cheeks.

NOTES?! ! David loved the reaction he got out of her whenever he guilt tripped her about something, she was so easy, which made it that much more amusing. He was just soaking in her torture, the grin on his face showed this to its full potential. She looked as if she was on the verge of tears, which sort of made David want to laugh really hard, was she serious? He looked around them, wondering if anyone was watching them, nope, not that he could see. He would get so much shit for pulling this right now, David could be so childish sometimes. For someone who didn’t like when people didn’t act their age, he sure acted as if he was twelve. He shrugged, not really caring why she left the band, he was just here to bust her chops, you know? Make her feel about it. He didn’t like feeling like someone turned his back on him, even though the two weren’t close at all, but still, David preferred to do the back turning, fuck that.
David laughed as he looked down at her, ”That’s not what he told us…”
, he said crossing his arms in front of his chest comfortably. He looked at her as if he knew something she didn’t, which was entirely not true, he was just trying to fuck with her a bit more. He knew she wanted him to leave, hell, she probably was secretly wishing she could just disappear from the scene right now. He look at her confused and with a look of offence, ”Riiiiiiiiiiight, those fucktards are better than me?”, he laughed at the absurd question. ”If you put all those guys together, you still wouldn’t have a real man”, he said rolling his eyes. He noticed her crying more now and straightened up, dropping his arms down, this probably look bad right about now. He couldn’t afford for someone or this little one to cause a scene, not after the recent rumors…well, facts that have been going around about him. Sleeping with an underage girl, now making a child-like girl cry? He was just asking to fuck up his reputation now… He turned his attention back to her then took a breath, ”Look, I’ll leave you alone if you don’t mention this to anyone, mkay?”, he looked at her waiting for a reply. She took longer than he had the patience for, ”Oh what the fuck ever”, he rolled his eyes and just walked off. She could do whatever the hell she wanted; his reputation was pretty much fucked anyways. He headed back to the bus, wanted to just relax now. He hoped Duncan was back already so they could possibly smoke out then play some video games. He was at the bus faster than he thought he’d be, maybe it was the random thoughts and concerns rushing through his mind, or just the urge to go relax with his best friend and hopefully get certain things off of his mind? Lucas’ heart began to hurt the moment she started crying, he could see the water fill in her eyes. He hated seeing people cry, especially people that didn’t deserve to be sad in the first place. He wished that David didn’t get the satisfaction he was looking for, but he obviously did, due to the expression on his face with the addition of his amused laughter. He was such a horrible person, he couldn’t see how girls could get with him. Did they just like guys that will treat them like nothing? Lucas thought sex was something sacred, something two people shared with one another when they loved each other. But in David’s world, it was like a hobby, which Lucas did not completely understand. A wave of relief went over him when David left, Lucas made sure he was long gone before looking back at Jasey. He watched her for a bit, wondering what she was going to do next. He wanted to go talk to her, comfort her maybe? But his hand was stuck on the curtain and his feet were glued to the floor. He had never approached someone that was sad before, unless it was a friend. He wanted to be her friend though, especially now that he knew he had misjudged her. jasey didn't know what to do. she knew he was doing this to get a reaction out of her, but she couldn't stop the tears from streaming down her face. she wanted him to go away, he had gotten what he wanted, right? he wanted her to feel dead; to feel like she wasn't worth anything nor would she ever be worth anything; to feel so guilty that it would no longer be his or duncan's fault for her leaving the band. she saw right through them, living on the same bus with them did that to her. she was done looking at him, unable to handle it anymore. her knees were pulled up tightly against her chest as she listened to him talk. her voice was gone now, she couldn't even squeeze out a few syllables. this was impossible, they both knew she was never going to win a fight or argument against him, which is probably why he had come up to her. she knew that he hated being left and such, considering he was always quick to jump on the leaving boat, especially when it came to any sort of commitment besides his band. glancing back up again him, her flow of tears became more distinct as he heard him say something about journey again. was he upset with her because she had left? he had told her to leave. was david just being an ass hole or was he telling the truth? she knew that journey was constantly trying to spare her feelings, though david, on the other hand would do anything to hurt her at this point. she had no clue who was telling the truth.
the insult to her new band made her open her mouth to protest, but her voice was stuck in her throat. she didn't want to say anything she would regret. of course, she had already done a lot of things she was starting to regret. if she had just stayed with that stupid band, she wouldn't be in this position right now. some of the people in we dance with monsters didn't even like her, at least when she was with radio bye bye, she didn't feel the need to stay out of the bus because there was someone seemingly scared of him. but this was sparking slight anger. it'd been so long since she was actually angry, why was she letting david pull this out of her? thoughts shot through her head. yeah, because you're sooo manly, right, david? the thought was mean, but it was what she was thinking. david was the farthest person from a 'real man' as she could think. he used people, and made people that were younger and weaker than him feel like shit for his own ego boost. that wasn't manly, that was a childish attempt at trying to be manly. it was his way of becoming better than other people, unlike the boys in we dance with monsters. they took others into consideration and still managed to look great and be nice to every one. they didn't have to put on a fake front for fans, because they were truly nice people, and she loved that about them, which is one of the reasons she had chosen to go into their band.
the tears were still rolling down her face as he stood up straighter, obviously realizing how bad this really did look. he mentioned not saying anything.. was he threatening her? she didn't want to chance it, so she just nodded about to open her mouth to agree before he thew a small fit and stormed off. the tears were rolling down her face, her body frozen from the ache in her bones. the guilt was seeping in through her every pore, his words sinking deep into her mind, settling there. the tears were gliding down her face faster, and there were more. she wanted to get up and go back to the bus, but she couldn't. there were voices swirling around her that only she could hear. she crossed her arms across her knees now, burying her face into her forearms, her hot tears warming her pale arms. she could hear the quiet music all around her. she wanted to disappear right now, and never come back. the thought of going home was really appealing to her, and for a good reason. she loved her family, and as far as she knew, they loved her. her brothers had told her multiple times that she was allowed to come stay with them if she wanted. sure, they each had their own thing going, but they loved her, and they had open arms. going home seemed so much better than being on this tour with all these mean, thoughtless people. she hate it here, almost. hell, people were even afraid of her, not that she had done anything to make them hate her. if she could have vanished from the spot she was in, she would have.. but unfortunately, she couldn't even move.

avid had insulted the band way too many times, it was so ridiculous too. We Dance With Monsters was known as the sweetest band on tour, there was no way they were lame or boring. David’s band on the other hand was known as one of the asshole bands, no one really liked them. Lucas watched David leave and Jay go into a tearing session, his hear truly ached. He looked down and bit his lip; he’d have to over step his boundaries for once in his life. He held his post for a bit, still debating a bit in his mind. He was seriously scared of what could happen, he took another breath then stepped slowly away from the curtain. He had made his decision; he was going to approach her. He had to; he couldn’t bear watching her cry all alone like that. She looked so sad and he felt as if he had to wrap his arms around her. If he was as sad as her right now he’s want someone to hug him, even if he didn’t know them. Just knowing that there was someone out there that cared, even if they didn’t know you, meant something.
He slowly walked over to her, looking around slightly wondering if anyone saw her crying. Everyone seemed to be lost in their own conversations or thoughts, thankfully. He sat beside her but she didn’t seem to notice, he looked at her unsure of what to do. He attempted to hug her but before his arms could touch her he change his mind, so she was probably still unaware of his presence. He lightly poked her on the arm awkwardly, ”Um…J-Jasey…?”, he gulped biting his lip and looking at her cautiously. He finally managed to put an arm around her, ”So you want me to walk you back to the bus?”, he asked quietly in her ear. He looked around again; he was so scared David was going to come back. ”D-don’t… l-listen to him… he’s a liar…”, he said again quietly, ”You don’t need them…”, he sighed. He wasn’t good at comforting other people; in fact he was probably the worst. He was always afraid of saying the wrong things so he just decided to shut up for now. He kept his arm around her since she didn’t move it, maybe she needed this embrace? He hoped she realized that he’d seen the error of his ways; he didn’t mean to judger her too soon. That was his own fault, he wanted to just get on his knees and beg her to forgive him. ”I’m sorry…”, he squeezed out silently, he wasn’t sure if she heard him but he hoped she did. He really ws sorry, he had been such an ignorant guy. He didn’t mean to isolate her, but he did, which made him feel only worse. [/blockquote][/blockquote] STATUS done. TAG Josey! jasey had no clue what she was going to do with herself. she wanted to get up and stop crying, but she knew she wasn't ever going to. at least not any time in the near future. the tears were rolling down her cheeks, dropping into her lap. she was crying so hard, she couldn't even hear the people or the music around her anymore. her hallucinations were long past gone and she was freaking out mentally, and partially physically. her bones ached, and she was waiting for the numbness to kick in and settle in her legs. she let her fingers tangle into her stringy hair, biting her lip hard to refrain from sobbing out loud. she'd always been a good silent crier, but this was proving difficult this time. she didn't have anything to say, and she really shouldn't even be crying. she, along with everyone else, knew that david was an ass hole that was out to make people feel like shit. especially if they left him in some sort of way, like she had. she hadn't even told david, zack or duncan she was leaving, she had just packed her shit and left. which was unusual for her, but she had to do it. saying good bye would've meant a chance for her to change her mind, which she did a lot when it came to leaving people. she hated feeling abandoned, so why would she want to make anyone else feel like that? of course, just leaving probably made it worse.
jay was crying hard enough to the point where she didn't even know what was going on around her. she didn't hear people approaching or leaving. she didn't notice the music. she wasn't even really paying attention to the hallucinations, which she usually did. they cheered her up. after a few minutes of crying, she heard a voice and jumped. not very high, but she had an alarmed look on her face, her aching arms reaching up to wipe the tears that were gliding so recklessly down her face. it didn't help, they just continued to fall. as lucas put an arm around her, she laid her head on his shoulder, just listening to him talk. for some reason, his voice was really soothing to her. she was unsure as to why, maybe it was the sincerity in it, or the fact that she knew he was truly a sweet person. maybe it was because she had thought he hated her for so long, that she couldn't even think straight, and the fact that he was there was the reason behind her slightly calmer exterior. nodding quietly, she sniffled. not loud, but enough to make sure her nose wasn't visibly dripping down her face. "l-l-lucas?" she said. her voice was slightly scratchy, she was searching for words in her head. "th-thank y-y-you." she whispered, closing her eyes for a second. her tears were still streaming down her face, but it wasn't as bad. she couldn't stand up, not on her own. she could barely move.

ucas didn’t want anyone to see her cry, what if someone made fun of her? He always tried his best to not cry in public, but David and Duncan both made that difficult to do sometimes. He wanted to just cover her so no one could see her in this time of vulnerability. She was like an innocent child that he felt obliged to protect. He didn’t mean to scare her, so when she jumped he couldn’t help but jump as well. Her silence frightened him; he already had his doubts when it came to his comforting skills so this sort of made him a bit nervous. She nodded in response which calmed him yet he was still slightly afraid. Right when he was about to help her up she called his name, he looked at her on cue, ”Hmm…?”. It took her a while to find the words she was searching for, but when she did Lucas couldn’t help but blush a little. He smiled shyly, ”Your w-welcome”, this moment had convinced him that he had been forgiven for treating her like an alien the past few days. He figured she would need assistance getting on her feet so he managed to build up his strength to help her. He failed at first, but the second time was a success. He didn’t remove his arm, afraid she might collapse, plus he sort of found ease in having to comfort her. He looked around then back at her, ”one step at a time”, he said sweetly and walked with her slowly. Then he remembered her book, he stopped in place, ”oh! One second…”, he said lightly letting her go, being careful making sure she could stand on her own. He got her book and frowned at how messily it was thrown, he fixed it and closed it making sure it was in one piece. He looked at the book and smiled, he loved these types of books. They always knew how to make him chuckle and the little images that popped up always intrigued him. He stood beside her once more, ”You almost forgot your book...”, he said with the same shy smile from earlier, he showed her that he had the book. ”I’ll hold it for you”, he said holding it to his side. He had remembered seeing a guy in a movie hold a girls book for her, it seemed like girls liked stuff like that and Lucas wanted to make up for the way he had been treating her. He looked over at her and it looked like she could still use his arm around her, he slowly brought his arm back to its original position. ”Come on”, he said quietly leading her in the right direction. He was a little nervous; he didn’t want the silence to continue. He wasn’t the best at conversations; he was quiet and very awkward. Plus, she looked as if she needed some cheering up, but what could he say or do? He gulped before deciding, ”Um… i… umm.. “, he searched for the words to start with but couldn’t find any. He closed his mouth and bit his lower lip, peeking over at her, hoping he wasn’t scaring her. ”I..I like your b-book… ”, he managed to get out. They made it out and were now heading to the parking lot, ”And don’t worry… you’re not the only one that he’s made cry…”. He hoped she wouldn’t think he was some sort of wimp or anything, even though he sort of was. But he just wanted to let her know that she wasn’t the only one. jasey didn't know what to think anymore. everything she had known at one point in time was slipping from her. she knew that she wasn't afraid of being alone, but she what she was afraid of was depending on other people. she didn't like thinking she couldn't take care of herself. she hated it, actually. having to ask someone else to do something for her because either she was too small, she wasn't strong enough, she was upset about something, anything like that really sort of upset her. she was thankful for lucas being there, though. helping her. he might have been the one person she wouldn't mind helping her, mostly because she thought he absolutely hated her or something, and that scared her, too. she didn't want people to think badly of her. she knew she wasn't scary or anything, or else people wouldn't pick on her. sure, there was a lot of people protecting her, people like journey and dylan. but then again, there was a lot of people like david and duncan that just wanted to see a person hurt inside and have it show on the outside. sometimes, it seemed easier to just cry and get it over with because you knew that they would leave you alone eventually. some times giving in was the right thing to do. it wasn't like she could hold up against verbal abuse anyways. it sank into her mind and sat there until it was hurting her and causing her pain.
she mewed in pain slightly as lucas pulled her up, closing her eyes tight for a second. this dull ache in her bones was like no other. she felt worse today than she had in a long long while. it was like when her brothers had begged her to stay home. not to go with journey. things were too busy and dangerous on tour for her, and she was definitely starting to believe them. obviously, she didn't belong here. this was up the wrong alley. people hated her, and for some reason, she couldn't bring herself to blame them. she'd messed up more times than she could count. jay let herself depend on lucas right now. her head came up to his chin, maybe, but right now, her head was resting on his shoulder, her eyes tired from crying, though her tears were slowly stopping. having someone there that didn't want her to basically jump off a cliff was nice, though she wished lucas would've appeared earlier. she knew he had trouble with david, though. so even if he had been around, she didn't and wouldn't blame him. the guys were jerks to everyone they could get away with being jerks to. it was especially bad when it came to people that couldn't stand up for themselves or fight back. people like herself, and probably like lucas. she had heard that they weren't particularly nice to him, and she hated it, honestly. it was bull shit.
quietly, she wobbled, her knees shaking as lucas left her for a second. "o-o-okay." her voice was quiet. she wasn't sure if he could hear her, because she could barely hear herself. there were voices buzzing in her ears. voices that were only known to her. nobody could hear the moon or the flowers or the sun. it was something that was her own. he appeared again and said something about her book. she smiled gently, he really was a sweet person. he held it up to her face, just to show her that he had it then tucked it under his arm. "th-thank y-you." her stutter was slowly disappearing as she calmed down, glad that david was gone now. she leaned into him as he looped his arm around her, reaching up to put her arm around his shoulders, just to make sure she kept her stability and balance. they were walking, getting somewhere now. she smiled gently, her tears drying up. a yawn left her lips as they stepped outside. the moon shining and singing brilliantly. she heard lucas' voice above it all, though. "th-thanks. j-journey got i-it for m-me." she said with another soft smile. they were halfway back to the bus and she could see it coming up. "david m-makes everyone c-cry." she mumbled. "he's just m-mean, b-because he can b-be.." her voice was quiet. she honestly hated david right now, not because he was mean to her, but because he was mean to lucas, who obviously didn't deserve it.

ucas hoped that she didn’t feel as if David was right, because he wasn’t. Anyone in their right mind would want to get far away from both of those guys, David and Duncan found pleasure in others’ pain and misfortune. He couldn’t even wrap his head around how the two even had friends, let alone get girls to sleep with them. Lucas couldn’t even find himself to want to wish karma on someone, he just couldn’t conjure up the hate or dislike to do anything to anyone really. How could those two? It truly did surprise him that there were people like David and Duncan in this world, people who just hurt others verbally and physically, and didn’t think twice about it. It sort of scared Lucas actually, he hadn’t come across individuals like those two since 1st grade. But even those two made his 1st grade bully seem like a saint! Lucas didn’t know how long he’d survive this tour with people like that walking around hurting people he knew or himself. But to be honest, Lucas preferred them to pick on him rather than Jasey here; she didn’t deserve that kind of treatment at all.
Lucas kind of liked the closeness that the two were sharing right now, he felt needed and wanted. ”Your welcome”, he replied sweetly as the two continued to walk towards the parking lot. It was about four thirty in the evening, so the sun hadn’t set just yet, but the sky was all different sorts of colors. It was actually sort of pretty, Lucas was glad that they decided to head out now; he was kind of scared of the dark when he was outside. He had this fear that David would come out of nowhere and just beat him up or something, which is why he always had someone walk him back to the bus at night time. Yes, it was sort of sad and child-like, but that was Lucas for you. He lived in fear, which wasn’t good, and he was well aware of that. Dylan had been trying to help him become a more confident and fearless gentleman, but the process wasn’t going as well as planned, Lucas wasn’t really an easy student to be quite honest. He hated change and wasn’t too keen on trying new things, he was a very sheltered and reserved person when it came to new experiences. But he hoped that by the end of this tour, he was better at certain things, things like standing up for himself? But that was definitely deep in his dreams, unfortunately. Lucas looked up, they were halfway to the bus, their bus was pretty noticeable. Lucas nodded at her words, it was true, that was exactly why David was mean. He didn’t think there was anything in David’s past that would make him that way, was there? To be honest, Lucas didn’t want to know even if there was. There was never a real reason to treat others like crap. He didn’t even know what Josey saw in David, he understood that she worked for his band, but really? She was like best friends with the guy. Lucas trusted Josey’s judgment though and knew that she could look out for herself, but he truly wished he did know what she saw in him that made her care about him so much. ”Yeah I know… “, he said sadly then looked over at her, he could tell she was thinking about the things that David had said to her. ”um… J-jasey?... don’t listen to what he said… he’s crazy… he’s just trying to make you feel bad… m-maybe… he.. just… hates that you left them or something? Or he m-misses you? I don’t know… but you’re not any of those things that he said. He’s crazy…”, he said trying to put his thoughts into words and attempting to make her feel better at the same time. He was really untalented when it came to comforting others and giving advice. When they got to the door of the tour bus, Lucas reached for his keys and opened it for her, letting her enter the bus before he did. [/blockquote][/blockquote] STATUS done. TAG Jasey! jasey's mind was every where right now. she didn't know what was happening any more. all she knew, honestly, was that she felt safe. sure, lucas was just as afraid of david and duncan as she was, but having someone close to her really helped, even if she didn't really know him. obviously, he cared about other people, unless he was just doing this to make fun of her. she didn't think that was the case, though. as far as she had heard, the only people he didn't really get along with were david and duncan, but they were mean to him, so she totally didn't blame him for disliking them. she had heard from numerous people that lucas was by far one of the sweetest males on this tour, and she believed it. he knew how to cheer people up, even if he didn't think he did. he seemed to say all the right things to make you feel like you weren't alone, even if those words were quiet and rare. they were still from straight from his heart, there was no doubting that. that, or maybe it was just the fact that she wasn't completely invisible to him, and he was nice enough to get up and help her all the way back to the bus, even if he hadn't planned on doing this today. she was glad that he had been there to swoop in and get her up off the ground, because there was no what she could've done it on her own.
as they approached the bus, lucas had spoken something small, something that he probably thought was supposed to cheer her up, and normally, it would've. but right now, no. david was absolutely correct. she had left them with no real goodbye and had just up and left. it wasn't that she didn't want to say goodbye, either, but she felt that if she stuck around long enough to say her good byes, she would had changed her mind and ended up staying, because that always happened to her. she looked at the sun as she trembled up with stairs, lucas holding the door open for her. giving him a small smile she spoke. "b-but what david s-said is tr-true.." her stutter had gone back to normal instead of being everywhere it could be. "i just left.. i didn't s-say b-bye or anything. t-took m-my st-stuff and left. i am a t-traitor." her voice was tiny, barely audible. she couldn't think of any other way to put it. she was exactly what he had told her she was. she was a good for nothing backstabber. "b-but honestly, david doesn't like when p-people t-turn th-their b-backs on him.. he would r-rather be th-the one dumping other people, not v-vice v-versa.." a trembling hand ran through her hair as she collapsed onto the couch.
jasey knew she couldn't make it to her bed right now. she would've had to climb up the stairs onto the second bunk and all of that. her whole being was exhausted. she couldn't think any longer. right now, she just wanted to go to sleep and maybe not wake up for awhile. silently, she laid onto the couch, closing her eyes. a whole new level of sleepiness engulfed her quickly, a yawn leaving her lips. cracking an eye, she looked over at lucas once more. "th-thank you." her voice was quiet, but she felt the need and desire to thank him once more. she could tell just by the way he carried himself that he wasn't one of those big talkers that said everything that was on his mind or stepped out of his comfort zone often. a lot like herself. her eyes fluttered closed once more as sleep slowly took over her, goosebumps rising over her arms. she was cold and the couch was uncomfortable, but she would live with it. getting to her bunk was too much work. maybe, if she woke up in the middle of the night, she would attempt, but right now. no. her breathing got heavy, though if there were any noises above someone talking in a whisper, she would be jolted awake.
