& I WAKE UP EVERY EVENING WITH A BIG SMILE ON MY FACE ( and it never seems out of place ) Audrey was no early riser, unless she really needed to be. She was a heavy sleeper, and it was almost impossible to wake her up unless you knew the secret to getting her up. One trick that always worked was dripping cold water on her neck. You didn't need much to wake her up with the water trick. Just a couple drops. But it wasn't Ralph dripping water on her neck or tickling her that woke her up that morning. Audrey really had no idea what had woken her that morning. But something had caused her to wake up at seven thirty in the morning. And as she tossed and turned with no luck of getting back to sleep, Audrey couldn't help but wonder why she was awake. She couldn't remember having any disturbing dreams. In fact, she couldn't remember having any dreams at all. Audrey continued to toss and turn, until finally picking up her phone and realizing that it was now about noon. Everyone was awake, and Ralph suddenly pulled open Audrey's privacy curtain with a grin. "You're awake!" He exclaimed, and Audrey groaned. She got out of her bunk, immediately changing out of her shorts and tank top and into a pair of jeans and a different shirt. Without a word, she left the bus, leaving the rest of the band to question where she was off to.
After maybe a half-hour of wandering around without any destination in mind, Delilah Audrey McVey ended up at a park. She walked along the sidewalk, her shoes making barely any noise at all. People jogging and riding bikes past her gave her odd looks, but those looks had never bothered Audrey. Ever since she'd been a little kid, people gave her weird looks. She was just a weird girl. Audrey was carefree, hyper, and crazy with a small tendency to be a bitch. But the person who had gotten the most of that bitchiness had been and still was her younger brother, Jackson. And he dished it right back at her. They were probably the worst sibling pair. He would constantly remind Audrey of her mistakes, more often her biggest mistake; leaving him and her dad. Sometimes the two got along, and instead of bitching and yelling at each other, they could actually talk without raising their voices. It was obvious the two loved each other, even if it didn't show all the time, or even most of the time. They had cute nicknames for each other. She called him 'Jam' and he called her 'Dam.'
Everyone else, however, called her Audrey. That is... Except Bly Bastian Hollis. He was probably the only person to call her Delilah, and for some reason, she let him. Audrey continued to walk, staring out across the wide field that was generally empty except for a couple kids playing frisbee and another small group playing soccer. She smiled, watching them for a few moments before stopping to sit in the grass. Eventually, she closed her eyes and laid back in the grass. Her hands were held behind her head, her head resting against her palms. Her eyes remained closed as the sun shined down across her face and she let herself drift away in her thoughts. She was in her bliss right then, away from the stress of the tour and everything else. But it didn't last long when Audrey heard a familiar voice speak her name; not her middle name, but her first. Which mean it could only be one person. Bly. Audrey opened her eyes and looked up at the boy. She sat up, forcing a small smile on her face. "Hey, Bly." She greeted him, scratching the side of her head. Well... This wasn't awkward at all.

It was one of those sunny days, the kind that always called to Bly. Causing him to pack around a nug, a pipe, and his ipod; permanently attaching it to his ears and bumping to whatever beats he chose. All the while sneaking a toke whenever there weren't too many people looking. He'd catch a tan and enjoy the sunshine, the smell of the outdoors. And there was nothing that could really ruin his day or walk; it was just too nice around him for anything bad to slip into his world, right? Taking a small hit from his pipe he fisted it and slid that fist into his pocket, nodding politely at an elderly couple and their now barking dog. As they passed, disciplining their dog on the way, Bly couldn't help but chuckle a little as he released the sweet smelling smoke into the free air. Maybe it'd help make someone else's day that much better, you never knew what sort of consequences even your simplest actions would cause. Today he was wearing a pair of ripped, jean shorts and a black wife beater and those simple black flip flops.
It was a simple day and thus far his thoughts were following suit, he wasn't thinking about anything particularly serious except that the color of the grass and leaves had become ever more vibrant as he studied them. Whether that was the weed or his perception in general, it didn't particularly matter to the twenty-four year old as he hit his pipe once more and repeated the previous procedure. As he walked, Bly began singing along with his music; shuffling through songs quickly. There was so much on his ipod that he could never pick just one. There was always more that he wanted to hear, something he wanted to save in his memory and see if he could put his own spin on it. That was his favorite part of being a musician, making sounds and lyrics that no one had heard before or creating his own version of whatever it was he'd heard that day.
The only person that had ever understood that concept, not even Lil had grasped it, was Delilah. Well, Audrey as they called her on tour. He'd always simply called her D, it was fitting and sweet and no one else used it. Perhaps that was why it was his favorite name for her. Bringing her up in his thoughts caused him to choke slightly on his hit before stopping his walk momentarily to catch his breath. Scratching the top of his head he sat on a nearby park bench, one over ridden by trees with an excellent view of the town's tiny creek that ran through the grove. Perfect spot to finish his bowl and catch his breath. Something only D had ever really managed to take away. Which caused Bly's mind to feel guilt, after all he was with Lily. And he adored her, her bright blue eyes always made him giddy inside and her voice radiated through him. But D was ... so totally different for him than Lily was. And he could hardly explain why.
Finishing off his bowl Bly emptied his pipe and slipped it into his pocket. Happily high though lost in some serious thoughts he walked along the path, letting his thoughts bounce from D to Lily to the band, to literally nothing at all while the music played loudly in his ears. And then he stopped in his tracks as he saw a familiar profile. For a moment he thought he was hallucinating, that he'd gotten a bad batch or something to the effect of. But no, it wasn't anything like that. Delilah was sitting right there in front of him. Biting on the inside of his cheek he walked up and spoke before he had the chance to chicken out. Hey. [/b] He said softly, scratching the nape of his neck before pulling out a piece of gum and popping it into his mouth. As she spoke her voice felt like water and sunshine and lightening shooting through him all at once. It'd been several years since he'd seen her, heard her voice, or anything like that. And now ... here she was in the flesh. How're you doing D?[/b] He asked, chewing on the gum slowly and collectively as if that, perhaps, would keep his mind from jumping over the brink of confusion and desire. & I WAKE UP EVERY EVENING WITH A BIG SMILE ON MY FACE ( and it never seems out of place ) It had definitely been a long time since the last time that Audrey had seen Bly in person. A few years, at least. How old had she been? About nineteen? She was 21 now, so that meant it had been about 3 years. Much to her relief, he wasn't making any moves to sit down next to her in the grass. Maybe he wouldn't stay long. Maybe he wouldn't prolong her suffering. She bit down on her lip softly, brushing some of her hair out of her face as she thought about how to answer his question. How had she been doing? Well, more lately, a bit on the crappier side. Jackson had disappeared, leaving her with only a goodbye note. Audrey felt like it was partially her fault he had gone away, like he had planned it all along as revenge. To make her realize that this was how he'd felt when she'd left him. And of course, there was all the business with Corey, and him turning out to be not what she'd thought. Then again, that seemed to happen a lot. Audrey had a bad habit of misjudging people. Really, the only people keeping Audrey any bit sane were Ralph, Lissy, and Nick.
"I'm... I'm doing pretty good. My brother kind of... Left. But other than that, I'm doing fine." Audrey stopped herself from rambling, forcing another smile on her face. "How about you? How are you doing?" She asked, slowly standing up now. She had gotten so used to everyone calling her Audrey, so used to nobody daring to even mutter her first name, that when Bly called her 'D' she had a reflex to glare at him or say not to call her that. But this was Bly. The reflex went away just as quickly as it had come. She shifted with slight discomfort, the awkward feeling rising in her stomach. It was obvious that Bly wasn't angry at her, though honestly, Audrey felt like she'd be more comfortable if he were angry with her. She knew she deserved him to be angry at her, with how she'd lead him on and then just left him. Audrey did feel terrible for doing that. It may not seem like it, but she really did. What made her feel even more terrible was the realization that Jackson had been right. She ran from everything. She'd run from her family, her own flesh and blood. And then she'd ran from Bly. She'd apologized to every single one of them, too. Of course her father had immediately accepted her apology, even insisted she visit him. And... Well, Audrey had. She wasn't sure if Jackson had actually accepted her apology. He had just said 'I love you, Dam.' Did that mean 'apology accepted, Dam' in Jackson speak? Audrey had never gotten around to asking. She'd just kind of accepted the 'I love you,' and moved onto a different subject.
