- - - - - - - - - Max was standing in the middle of the hot black top, the sun beating down on her bare shoulders and probably giving her sunburn. Though at the time, all Max cared about was her pictures. She always found it amazing how she could zone out while photographing, like nothing else in the world existed except her, the camera, and her subject. The camera clicked as she pressed the shutter taking a picture of the tour buses. She needed some extra shots to post on her blog, and also for the girls. Shots of extra things always came in handy.
She sighed and wiped her forehead with the back of her hand. Despite being out in a tank top the tempature was oddly hot out for it only being spring. Something Max was not used to, in fact she really didn't like the hot weather. She liked warm tempature, and slightly cool but she hated the extreme tempatures. Knealing down Max took another picture of the tour busses. Specfically Off Like a Prom Dress' bus.
In her opinion the picture were comming out pretty nicely, she liked how the busses looked all set up. She also liked how they looked agianst the buildings of New York. They were a clashing color agianst the brick, and it made for an interesting mix of colors. Sighing Max slipped her camera over her neck. The pressure from the camera pushed her shirt into her skin and made her feel slightly uncomfortable.
"Damn this heat." She mumbled beofre brushing some of her out of her face. It was too hot to be standing out side and taking pictures. Despite it being her passion it wasn't always weather friendly. Scratching her head Max decided to head backstage, she could always take some good pictures of the equipment. As long as she didn't get in the way of any of the band it really wouldn't be a problem.
Her feet hit the concrete softly, as she came closer and closer to the stage she could hear the noises of people. Not just people talking but the noises of the people moving things, and people shouting. Maybe this wasn't such a good idea? Is that that kept running though her head, but she was already there. No turing back now. She started snapping pictures of the speakers, and the chords. Even some of the people who were working backstage. When she heard a loud voice from behind her. "Are you suppose to be back here."

Effie Jazmyn Took
Home is behind The world ahead And there are many paths to tread Effie had always loved being backstage. Even in high school, she much preferred to be behind the stage than on it, no matter how much her theatre friends pressured her to try out for the next play. She much preferred the fun behind the stage. Backstage always has a completely different story than the one being played out in front. And even if the story stayed the same on stage, no two things went the same backstage. She just felt comfortable back there. And now, on tour, with so much unfamiliarity of the current city she was in, there was always the backstage to welcome her home.
Backstage always remained constant. There were always people moving about, cords lying around, speakers off to the side. It was black. Everything. It was a black abyss of everything technical. Even the people backstage seemed to be nothing more than technology. In and out, moving things, plugging in something, turning this light on, that one off. Dressed in all black, they seemed almost mechanical. And on this tour, with the many bands that there were, someone was always practicing or doing a sound check or something of the sort. There was always something going on in this tour, and when Effie didn't have to be working backstage, she would usually just go there just to be there.
Usually when Effie was backstage, she'd just watch people or offer to help out. Being a techie, and backstage usually being the techie's turf, she was always welcome. However, today she had brought The Silmarillion with her backstage to try to get through it. Surprisingly, Effie had never gotten through The Silmarillion before. She's tried many times, but ended up just SparkNoting it to get the information she needed to know more than her friends about Middle-Earth. Yes, Effie's a LOTR geek, and she's quite proud of it, but her goal for this tour was to get through the damn book. Swear to God, this book is the Bible on steroids.
Effie took a seat on an unused speaker and cracked open the book. Not within even five minutes, she got bored and distracted about the goings on around her. She set the novel to her side and watched the events of backstage. Suddenly, she caught a glimpse of someone who looked a bit out of place. At first, the girl looked confused, as if she was lost or unsure of what to do. Then, Effie saw a spark of fear of not knowing what to do or where to go with everything rushing by her. Then the girl took out a camera and started snapping pictures of everything. Unsure of who the girl was or if she was even allowed back her (Effie was only a techie, no one told her much), she called out to the girl. "Oi, are you supposed to be back here?" she asked with her very thick Scottish accent.

- - - - - - - - - The bundled up wires and the chaos, mixed with the syncronized movement of the people handeling these things, it was like living art. Max snapped a few pictures, despite the surrounding dark you could still make most of it out. She had to remember next time to bring her digital camera, she knew she could get a few interesting pictures with that too.
Most photographers she knew, or knew of, hated digital camera. Especially the wanna-be photographers. They would complain about how non-digital cameras always take better pictures, and they always look nicer. Sometimes Max had to agree, but there was something about a digital that she just liked. It help that it was also convienent, you could just plug in a digital and the pictures went right to the computer you were working. No developing, no mess, no problems. Well unless your computer couldn't read the type of camera, or had some other technical problem.
Which never seemed to fail in Max's life, she had over four computers break on her in the past year. Mostly from virisus that she had no clue as to how they even got on the stupid machine in the first place. Which was Max switched to Mac's. No more virusus, the down side to that was the Mac didn't always read every type of hardwear, and sometimes it couldn't down load certian things. She had given up one problem, for another. Though for Max that was just how her life worked.
Max jumped about ten feet into the air, ok not really, more like three inches it felt like ten feet though. "Oh sorry." She mumbled before looking down for her pass. "I um... I got it... somewhere." She let her camera drop back down gently and began to search through the pockets of her jeans. "Well I'm a... a photographer for Off Like a Prom Dress and um.. I can't find my-oh." Just as she was about to spew out a thousand excuses she happened to finally find her pass in her back pocket. Which she found a bit odd, since she never stuck anything in her back pocket, she didn't like the idea of reaching back there. It always looked like someone was scratching their butt to her. "Sorry about that, I never usually put things there."
She scratched her arm and smiled at the girl, "I just figured backstage would be an interesting place to take pictures, y'know. The wires, and things like it."
She gestured to a wire only a few feet from her, "it makes for great pictures." She looked around and noticed the book behind the girl. "Oh, Lord of the Rings. How is it?" She figured she could at least try and make conversation, while she was here anyway. [/blockquote][/blockquote]
