Word count: 706 Tag: Jessica Smith outfit: this Status: complete p.s. __________________________Being on tour was one of Landen's dreams and goals in life, when he finally found a band that actually had a chance at making it in this industry and when when the band got signed onto an actual tour with other bands, some of them being pretty popular in the underground and even mainstream he didn't really know what to think. Of course he was happy, more then happy, his dreams were finally coming true but he was also hesitant which was a feeling that he didn't think he would have considering he is Landen Mckenzie, a boy who dives into opportunities like he was diving into the ocean back home to go surfing or just for a swim. That was the thing though, he knew this tour was a once in a life time chance that could last from a month to a whole year. That meant that he would have to leave his family behind, after getting in touch with his mom again who he hadn't seen since he was thirteen and his dad, brother and sister back home in Hawaii who he had been away from for a whole year already. Those were the things stopping him from coming on this tour. his family.
Obviously Landen chose to come on tour though it wasn't an easy choice to make, it took him a lot of second guesses and a lot of nights on the phone with his family and friends helping him make his decision but in the end he decided that this was his one and only shot and something like this just doesn't present itself everyday. Now that he was on tour he wouldn't trade it for anything in the world, he missed his family especially his little sister Kalia but he made sure he talked to her a couple times a week if he had time, to make sure everything was okay at home. Anyway he was having the time of his life, playing his and his bands music on a real stage for real fans was more than he could ask for. Also the parties that followed the shows were almost as good as playing the shows themselves. Of course these parties couldn't compare with some of the beach parties he has had at home but they were right up there on the ranking and a perfect way to wind down after getting all your nerves worked up by playing a show.
His phone vibrated beside him blasting out the lyrics to one of his oldest favored bands Blink 182, he didn't care if they were old and broken up now or if people thought they were a stupid band who played stupid songs, he liked them and he has since he first heard of them in his early teens. Rolling over in the small one person bed of the bus he groaned as he felt his head pounding, a nice reminder of his adventures last night, he opened his eyes and realized he was still in the clothes he was wearing last night for one of the parties he was at, reaching for his phone he cleared his throat before answering. "Kalia..." he said his voice still a little scratchy due to the singing and yelling he probably did the night before. Hearing his little sisters voice was the perfect wake up call for him, as he listened to her tell him about the past week she had he was noticing that he was really missing home right about now. "listen I'll talk to you later okay? I'm just going to get something to eat and shower and I'll call you back okay?" he said with a smile before pressing the end button. He dropped his phone lazily on the bed and pulled the blankets off before rubbing his tired eyes with his hands.

400x200 BANNER OF YOUR CHARACTER HERE AS SHE CARRIES ON WITHOUT A DOUBT i wonder if she'll figure out that I ' M C R A Z Y F O R T H I S G I R L - - - * Jess yawned, reaching up and pulling a pillow off her face. The sun had already managed to creep across the majority of her bed, warming the blanket that lay in a jumbled mess, half covering Jess. She stretched and rubbed her eyes, looking down at the covers and giggling softly. No one else in the bus seemed to be awake just yet so she'd have to be quiet. That just didn't fit her too well. Jess liked to be loud and wild, but she was also nice enough to tone it down when people asked or she simply wanted to. She slid off the bunk as quietly as possible, and made her way over to her clothes.
Jess gathered up all her needed things and headed into the bathroom to take a shower before anyone else got up and managed to grab the bathroom. She didn't mind sharing with people, but at home she was used to having her own bathroom, and she'd always had to make sure to pick up and put away her stuff here. Jess really didn't mind that so much either, it was actually kinda fun in a way. Sometimes when she'd forget something, she'd laugh about it. That was probably the one thing that embarrassed her. At least one of them. Jess didn't take long to shower and change into a clean outfit. She plugged in her straightener to heat up while she blow dried her hair, and fixed her makeup.
After all her usual morning things were done, she exited the bathroom, throwing her laundry in her hamper and grabbed her phone. She wasn't going to sit around and wait for someone to wake up, then she'd have to wait for them to get ready and that wasn't any fun when you were wide awake and already in a hyper, bubbly mood. Jess giggled faintly leaving a note that she was going out for a bit and then headed out the door. She didn't have the faintest idea of where she was going, but at least she wasn't sitting on the bus doing nothing. Jess walked down the sidewalk which wasn't too busy for this time of day. Hell she didn't even know what time it was.
Jess stopped, her mom's ringer ID was playing. She of course answered it to spare herself a lecture later about not answering. Jess loved her mom but sometimes she was suffocating. "Hey mom..." Jess listened as her mother prattled on about some family reunion that she wouldn't be going to. She loved the reunions but she was on tour, and oh did she ever love it. The freedom of actually choosing to do what you want, give or take a few minor things here and there. "Look mom, I hate to do this but I can't make it to the reunion.. and I've kinda got plans. So I'll call you back later. Love you." She shut her phone after her mother had said her goodbyes. Jess knew her mom would definitely get on her case about this one, but oh well.
Jess continued walking, still clueless as to where she was going or what she was doing. Oh well, she'd find something to do, maybe go to a cafe or find some place to eat breakfast at. She stretched again, glancing around, there was hardly any people. That was kinda strange but kinda nice, the sun was out and it was pretty warm. Jess threw on a bubbly genuine smile that almost screamed approachable.
