he tour had been pretty fun so far, minus the altercation Lucas got into last week with a stage manager. But Lucas always found himself being screamed at or picked on, so he didn’t take it to heart too much. He knew he was a target to bigger and meaner people, he just wished there was something he could do about it. Well there was, but no way did Lucas have the balls to stand up for himself. He was always the baby to his friends, always quiet and shy, they always protected him. He didn’t ask them to, they just felt that they needed to, which was kind of true.
The tour was now taking place in New York City, Lucas had never been to New York before. He heard and learned from movies that it was a big place, a place with lots of places to shop and lots of people residing within it. He wanted to check out the streets before the tour moved on to the next state; he knew he didn’t have much time. It was the afternoon, he was dressing in light blue jeans and one of his black band tee’s, it was a tee from his best friend, Josey’s band. There was no reason why he specifically wore it today; it was just the closest shirt to him when he was getting dressed. He never wore his band’s shirts though, mostly because he didn’t want anyone to recognize him. He hated meeting crazy fan girls, he had nothing against them, he was just frightened by them. They overwhelmed him a lot, usually he had a band mate or a friend near to calm him down, but when he was alone, he was scared of possibly having an attack around fans. He also didn’t know what to say or do around them, he was always so quiet, they always bombarded him with questions and requests, and it was a little scary.
He was walking around the mall, holding a bag from one of the stores, with a shirt that said ‘FREE HUGS’ on it. He always wore cute little shirts that totally fit his personality, plus, he liked buying at least one thing everywhere he went on tour. He also, got his mom something from every state as well, but he hadn’t found anything for her from here yet. He walked around the mall, scanning over the names of all the stores, trying to find which one would be a good place to look. He didn’t know what he wanted to get her, he had got her a key chain from the last state, a shirt from the one before, and a unique shell from the one before that. He walked into a nice antique store, hoping to find something. [/blockquote][/blockquote] STATUS done. TAG Josey! i need you now, more than ever, and this could be the right time to change. josey enjoyed new york. she enjoyed it a lot. there were so many people, and so many sites to see. it was absolutely gorgeous, even if half the people were seemingly short-tempered and it was just so incredibly busy that it was faster to walk places than to actually drive. but hey, that's what happened when you were visiting a busy place on tour. either way, josey loved it. touring was fun for her, and most of the people on tour were pretty cool. sure, she was just a merch kid, for radio bye bye. but she had friends on tour, like lucas.
luke and josey had become fast friends. he had been so shy, and it had almost been awkward for josey to try and talk to him at first. but now that she'd gotten to know him, he was actually quite funny and josey enjoyed hanging out with him. she'd made a lot of good friends on the tour, but out of all of them, lucas was one of her favorites. he was one of those friends she wouldn't ever get sick of. she smiled as she walked around the mall. josey sported a simple, black dress. it hung down to maybe two inches above her knees, and she had thrown on a maroon cardigan overtop. the look was complete with her signature black tights and a pair of tan mocassins. anyone who knew her and or saw her enough, knew that she was obsessed with tights, cardigans, dresses, and outfits of the sort.
josey walked into a cute little antique store. yeah, this was just her style. she was looking at an antique mini-carousel that played music when she saw him. "luuuuucas." she said, walking towards him. "representing!" she exclaimed, giggling as she pulled at the hem of his radio bye bye shirt.

ucas was so clueless, why was he in this store? He didn’t know the first thing about antiques. He looked like a lost puppy, he scratched his head as he stared at some random porcelain angel baby crap. He had finally decided to switch stores, he turned on his heel and his eyes met Joseys. He was shocked to see her there, but was glad to see a familiar face. Why didn’t he think of inviting her in the first place? Oh right, Lucas was always scared to invite people places, mostly because he was scared of rejection. Even if it was just to walk with him to the store, he was such a dork sometimes. Josey had grown to be one of his close friends on tour, he didn’t think he’d make friends with anyone from other parts of the tour, mostly because he was too shy to have a conversation. But with Josey, it happened! It was awkward at first sure, but after seeing her more and talking to her more, he grew to be very comfortable around her. He had to admit, it was a relief to be his true self around someone that wasn’t sleeping on his bus.
He smiled big at the sight of her, she looked cute as usual, in her usual tights. ”Of course, I’d even wear a TEAM JOSEY shirt if I could”, he joked. He had remembered how he got this shirt, since Josey was the merch girl; she had snagged it for him. He offered to pay for it multiple times, but she wouldn’t let him, especially since she could pretty much get it for free. It actually helped since his other best friend was actually in the band, she appreciated that he represented as well. ”I’m glad I ran into you actually… I need help”, he pouted innocently. ”I don’t know what to get my mom”, he explained simply, she knew he always got his mom something wherever they went. He was a huge mama’s boy and he just felt like it was nice, and it showed his mother that he was thinking about her. ”I don’t think I’ll find anything in here though”, he sighed slouching his shoulders a bit, keeping his shopping bag close. ”You look pretty by the way… as always”, he said shyly, he liked complimenting his friends, he felt as if it was nice and put them in a better mood. i'm living proof, broken and defeated. i'm a shattered youth and no one can believe it. josey giggled, looking at lucas. the girl was in a good mood, but then again, it was an extremely rare occasion when she wasn't in a good mood. her moods were always obvious, always clearly written across her face. josey was no good at acting, and she didn't bother trying to act, anyway. she hated it when people tried to act all happy when nothing was wrong with them. she could understand people not wanting to worry about them, but if you really didn't want anyone to worry, then why go out in a bad mood unless it was absolutely neccessary? josey usually stayed in as much as possible when she was in a bad mood, and even went to the length to turn off her phone so all contact was cut-off unless someone needed her badly enough to come to radio bye bye's tour bus. which rarely happened. but then again, she rarely stayed inside the bus for long periods of time unless they were driving on the road and she had no choice.
it's not that she didn't enjoy spending time with the boys in radio bye bye, they were usually quite fun to be around. david, who was probably the tour's widest known manwhore, was surprisingly the one she was probably the one she was closest to. of course, she hadn't really enjoyed his company at first, though his flirting had sort of flattered her in a way. but now they were practically brother and sister, since her brother had seemingly abandoned her completely and her sister, grandmother, and mother were all deceased. but lucas was a different story. he was shy at first, but around her, he was funny and well... kind of adorable, in her opinion. "of course, i'd even wear a TEAM JOSEY shirt if i could." at his statement, josey chuckled quietly. "i could design you one... special." she teased, smiling widely.
at the mention of him having difficulties finding something for his mom, josey nodded slightly. she grinned. "well, i can certainly help." jose told him, putting her hands on her hips. the girl had spunk, and she really didn't care about what others thought about her. she linked her arm through his, beginning to pull the boy out of the antiques store, ignoring her urge to look around more and maybe buy something. josette beamed as lucas complimented her, saying she looked pretty. "thank you, stud. you're looking pretty fly yourself." she teased, giggling quietly. she was your typical bubbly, happy girl. and that was the way she planned on staying. she believed life was just way too short and unpredictable to sit around and mope all the time and to be scared of the unknown. because, in a way, just about everything was unknown. she hummed a tune underneath her breath, it being 'we love like vampires' by sparks the rescue. she walked along the wide hallway of the mall, looking at all the stores. "so how are you this fine afternoon, mister lucas?" she asked, looking up at him now as she brushed some hair out of her eyes with her free hand, considering her other arm was still threaded through lucas' arm.

ucas chuckled, ”I’d totally wear it too! Even when I play, so please could come up and ask ‘Whose Josey?’, I’ll be like ‘Only the greatest girl ever’ , im gonna get you a fan club”, he winked playfully. He would totally never do that, he was too shy to do all of that. He’d definitely wear the shirt, but if someone asked him who it was, he’d probably turn as red as a tomato and be all ’Um….a….. girl…..’, and stare at his shoes the entire time. He was always the weirdest one around fans, but he was completely fine on stage. He usually got nervous before, but once he was up there, he realized he was in the back anyways. No one was paying any attention to him, right? He was 99.9% sure that all the fan girls were there for the other guys in the band, Lucas didn’t think much of himself really, he was just a kid in a band. It didn’t bother him though, he hated attention, he was all about sharing the love of music with the world. Hell he’d play the drums behind a black curtain if he could!
Lucas smiled when she agreed to assist him on his quest for a souvenir for his mother, he knew having a girl’s help would be necessary. She looped her arms with his and led him out of the store; he smiled big as they walked out. He felt more comfortable with Josey there, being alone in public places still frightened him a bit. But he was getting better at it. thank you, stud. You’re looking pretty fly yourself, he couldn’t but blush, he always did when getting a compliment. Even if it was just to return the one he had given her, he still received compliments all the same. He smiled over at her, she was so bouncy and he loved it. He didn’t know it, but he needed friends like her, he needed people that would bring him out of his shell more. Friends that wouldn’t take no for an answer when trying to get him to go out or do something. He needed people that would introduce him to new things and bring new experiences in his life. Lucky for Lucas though, he had achieved just that, he had found friends such as these on this tour. They all brought something new to him or helped him grow more comfortable with his surroundings. He still needed work, but he was definitely showing some improvement. so how are you this fine afternoon, mister lucas?, he walked beside her, dangling his shopping back on the opposite side. ”I’m great.. finally had a free day to shop a bit… first time seeing the mall here… imagine if I would have got lost?”, he laughed lightly, ” This week has been very busy… I kept bugging Dylan about my drums.. cause I kept messing something up… I felt bad… and… I got screamed at … uh, some fan made me a scrap book”, he smiled shyly, ”It’s my favorite gift so far…”, he flipped his bangs away a little.”How about you?” [/blockquote][/blockquote] STATUS done. i'm living proof, broken and defeated. i'm a shattered youth and no one can believe it. josey giggled as he remarked that he would wear the shirt. "then i'll definitely make you one. it'll be incredibly awesome. awww, you're awesome. i'll probably be one of the only merch kids with a fan club." she said with a smile, dancing a bit as she walked. people stared at her as she danced. she stopped at that point, smirking softly. she honestly didn't care about people staring at her. josette rather enjoyed it when people laughed at her, it meant she was entertaining them in some form. whether it was them making fun of her or not. but she knew that lucas was definitely on the shyer side and was a little more uncomfortable when people stared at him.
but josey was one of the lucky ones; she knew his other side. his less quiet side. a lot of people only knew that lucas was shy and quiet. but what they didn't know was that lucas was simply adorable and quite funny and entertaining at times. she smiled back at the boy as he flashed a smile in her direction. "dude, it's impossible to get lost in this mall. it's a circle." josey said with a laugh, grinning. yeah, she was sometimes considered overly happy and bubbly. but the truth was, josey loved the way she was. she just loved to smile and laugh; life was too short to sit around and mope about the past. although her past was sad, and she was a bit upset that she was without her sister, mother, and grandmother; josey knew that none of them would've been happy if she just sat around and moped, much like her brother did now. she barely ever talked to her brother; it was like he'd dropped off the face of the planet.
hell, josey barely ever talked to her father anymore. but she definitely heard from her dad more than she heard from her brother. a lot more. her dad called maybe once a week or so, just to check up on how she was doing and if she needed any money, etc. but her brother, however, only called or texted maybe once every other month. josette looked up at lucas, listening to him talk about his week. "aww. that's cute! you have to show me the scrapbook so i can admire it." she said to him. "i have been great. as always. you meet a lot of interesting people when you sell t-shirts and stuff for an awesome band. even if it is filled with assholes..." she shrugged. david and duncan usually were assholes, but david was a little different with her, so she usually didn't mind as much. it was david's life, david's choices, and no lie, josey was probably going to die of laughter when david slept with the wrong girl and got his ass handed to him for it. she ignored duncan and david's ways, instead just worrying about the way they acted around her. "hmm... we need to find a souvenir shop... you could like, get your mom one of those 'i love nyc' hoodies or shirts. i think she might like that." josey said, shrugging.

ucas nodded, ”Because you’re the best merch kid ever”, he smiled happy, then looked around as if he was looking for someone, ”But don’t tell Casey I said that… she’ll attack me”,e chuckled. Casey was his band’s merch kid, she was one crazy girl that definitely overwhelmed Lucas almost every time he came in contact with her. He watched as she bounced and felt more flustered every time another fellow shopper walked passed them looking at them. Josette was one of those people that people just looked at, mostly because she always danced to her own beat and her edgy style brought attention to her. Lucas was the complete opposite, he didn’t like anywhere looking at him, not even if he was talking to them. He was always the one sunk into the corner, drinking a water and texting, being anti-social. ”Yeah but it’s me… I can get lost in a bathroom,” he chuckle, this was sad but true, Lucas was such a pure innocent soul, he always ended up doing something weird or in this case, easily getting lost. He ran into things and could be clumsy at times, for example, the altercation last week with the stage manager. He was walked all over and tricked into doing pretty fucked up things. Lucas smiled, ”I will, I think you’ll like it… “, he nodded listening to how she’d been doing. ”Yeah, I’m glad you like your job, that just means you’ll stay around longer”, he smiled shyly, if RADIO BYE BYE hadn’t been on tour, he would have never met Josey, and now not knowing her seemed impossible. ”Oh… yeah, them…”, he had forgotten almost that she sold merch for the band that he was mostly afraid of. Especially after what they did to Gage the other night… ”Those guys are mean…”, he said like a child, quiet and innocent. Duncan and David truly scared the crap out of Lucas. Just the other day David was pestering him at his merch table when Lucas was suppose to be greeting fans, just because he wanted a wallet. If it wasn’t for Dylan, David probably could have embarrassed Lucas by making him cry or something. Lucas nodded at her suggestion, ”Sounds good”, he nodded as they walked towards a store that sold tourist stuff, ”Or one that says ‘someone I love went to New York and all I got was this lousy shirt’, he chuckled at his own words.
